A MOMENT IN TIME
The sweet smell of roses so faint in the air
Is it you reaching out to say you are there
Is that your voices we hear drifting so gently in the wind
Is it a message of love you are trying to send
As we stood by your graves crying so deep in our hearts
Feeling so lost and alone but knowing you had to depart
We looked down for one last glimpse of your face
To grasp onto a memory that can never be erased
The soft glow of light in your eyes no longer will we see
Knowing that your gentle sweet souls have now broken free
You can now rejoice with the angels in that glorious land
You can walk with our Lord and hold onto His hand
We were so blessed to have had you in our lives
Even if it was only but for a moment in time
We will remember the soft whispers of love that you shared
Heartfelt and loving to show us all that you cared
We will not say goodbye for we will see you again
On a day when our lives will truly begin
When the Lord says, "My children, the time has come"
"Go meet your loved ones and bring them home"
We will run to meet you on that golden shore
and together we will be forevermore
