THE RIVER CLUB
In May 2005, I had the idea to start what I think to be the first of it's kind....The River Club.  I noticed that there were many groups for The Divine Secret of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood and also there is the famous Red Hatters....both groups are for friends and female family members to gather together, but there were none for the wonderful movie "Fried Green Tomatoes". So, I decided to start the first group in the spirit of the movie, based on the message of true friendship.

The core of the group is friendship....true friendship.....whether it be a mother, sister, sister-in-law, niece or someone outside your family that you are close to.  Friendships are formed from all walks of life.  And all are important.

I have named our group "The Amazing Amazon Women", because that is how I feel about the ladies that are special in my life.....they are truly amazing. 

I encourage everyone to form their own group.  Get together, go out to dinner, to a movie, go shopping, travel......just whatever.  The important thing is to spend time together.....and be there for each other. 

I hope that this the beginning of many such groups......I think it would be so nice.  Put a scrapbook together of your days spent with each other.  In the years to come it will become a treasured item for all of you to share.
