Saudhouse.com Visitor Privacy Policy and Disclaimer
PLEASE READ THE PRIVACY POLICY BELOW
(amended as of August 20, 2000) BEFORE USING SAUDHOUSE.COM.
CACSA and saudhouse.com are committed to bringing you information about
Saudi Arabia. In doing so, we recognize the importance of protecting the
privacy of personally identifiable information. In adopting this privacy
policy, our intent is to protect your reasonable expectations of total
privacy from the prying eyes of the government of Saudi Arabia.
Does saudhouse.com collect identifiable information from me or about
me?
Saudhouse.com does not collect any information about our visitors.
Since we do not require any registration, we are not able to collect any
information about you. You may volunteer information at times – such as
when you send us an email, or sign your own emails with your true name and
identity. Whenever you ask us to protect that information, we will make
every effort to adhere by our privacy policy. See the paragraph below
about "cookies".
How does Saudhouse.com use my information when I volunteer it?
Our primary goal, when we have in our possession private information,
is to protect that information at all costs. We understand what it means
to be supportive of our cause. That is why we recommend that you use the
Hushmail email service, which provides encryption and privacy otherwise
not found on the Internet. Although, we provide information free of
charge, we do not display advertisements, which is another way of
collecting information about visitors in the world of Internet.
When I visit your web site, isn't there a footprint data of my
visit? Where is the data stored?
When you are on our web site at Saudhouse.com, your IP address or
footprint is recorded at our ISP. This information resides on the web
servers of our ISP and could be looked at, if not by the ISP, by hackers
who wish to know where you came from. Therefore, we ask that you use
public computers such as ones found in libraries, colleges, or cafes to
enter our web site whenever possible. Unless an ISP delivers that
information, you will remain anonymous. In order to create no jurisdiction
over what ISP stores in terms of data, we have chosen an ISP outside the
Western hemisphere.
With whom does Saudhouse.com share my information?
As a strict, unbendable rule, Saudhouse.com will not disclose any of
your personally identifiable information except if you ask us to do so
through an email that you sent us or by volunteering a view or an opinion
that will be published on our web site. Under no special circumstances,
will we ever share information about you. We ask, for your own security
then, not to disclose any information about yourself unless you are immune
to the wrath of al-Saud. The following describes the ways that your
information may be disclosed without our knowledge
Editorial: A user's personally identifiable information
(e.g., country where link into our servers is made, time of the day) may
be used by Saudhouse.com for editorial purposes. For example, we may use
information provided to better deliver information to you. None of that
information identifies you as a person but rather identifies certain
habits that may help us serve you better and serve our information
in more timely fashion.
Other: The FBI, under extenuating circumstances, the
legal power to seek, by law, information from CACSA and we have to abide
by that request. It is a very rare event. They also have, at their
disposal, tools that will enable them to seek identities of people who
visit our web site. That is why we ask, if you wish to remain totally
anonymous, to use the Hushmail Service. If we do not know who you
are, how can we tell anyone anything about you?
Except as stated in this privacy policy, a user's personally
identifiable information will not be transferred or disclosed to any
outside party under any circumstances.
What are cookies and how does Saudhouse.com use them?
Web sites place a "cookie" on the browser of a user's
computer to store and sometimes track information about you. For examples,
a cookie can be used to tell when your computer has contacted a Web site
or cookies can be used by commercial web sites to ensure that you don't
see the same ad too many times in a single session. Companies also use
cookies to track progress and number of entries in promotions and
contests. We, at Saudhouse.com, do not use
"cookies" and never will because they intrude upon your privacy.
Technology on the Internet is developing at a rapid pace, and we need
to maintain our flexibility and credibility in the online arena. We do not
intend to change our policy, but if we ever do in the future, we will post
these changes as soon as they go into effect.
