By the grace of Almighty, SREE SATH SANGAM was started to function at Sath sangam street, Madipakkam, Chennai (Madras), India, 600 091, on the 7th June, 1978, in a piece of 2400 sq feet land donated by Shri K.V.Achuthanarayana Iyer of Seerkazhi.

Objectives: -

Membership, Registration and Accounts: -

With a limited number of sincere and committed members, SathSangam attracted the hearts of the general public through the selfless services by its members, who were mostly office goers and were all members of middle class families.

Thanks to the spontaneous support received from the members of general public, a plot of land admeasuring 2400 sq. feet located adjacent to the existing premises was purchased by the Sath Sangam.

Society Registered: -

In 1982, the Sath Sangam was registered as a Society. Its accounts are regularly audited and submitted to the appropriate authorities after approval in AGM.

Religious: -

Sree Sath Sanga Harinama Sankeerthana Sabha is conducting Bhajans on all Saturdays in the homes of interested persons in Madipakkam. It conducts Street Bhajans (Veedhi Bhajans) on all the thirty days of Tamil month of Margazhi( Dhanur Masa). A grand Radha Kalyana Utsavam is organised during the month with eminent Bhagavathars.

 

Sri Rama Navami: -

Sath Sangham is celebrating Sri Rama Navami festival for ten days every year. When Lectures (Upanyasams) by learned persons are being organised. Daily Pujas, Music programmes are also arranged everyday during the festival.

Maha Skandha Sashti: -

Skandha Sashti is celebrated for six days in the month of Thula Masa (Tamil month of Aippasi).

Acharya Jayanthi is celebrated with reverence and devotion every year.

Samashti Upanayanam is organised every year during the month of Vaikasi month for thirty boys. This is combined with poor feedings.

Vedha Classes are being conducted regularly for the benefit of young and old.
