as well as some of the other places we have been!!
I am originally from Nipawin, Saskatchewan, but have lived in Coronach, Moose Jaw, and Saskatoon. Saskatoon was the best place to live by far in Saskatchewan. I have a many awesome friends there, not sure if I will ever make it back there to live though. I have lived in a few other places across Canada some of them being Halifax, NS and Victoria, BC.
I am now living in Comox, BC, which is on Vancouver Island. Great place to live, beautiful scenery, very nice weather, best part is that there will be no snow in the winter!!! We moved here from Oromocto, New Brunswick in July of 2004, my husband Bill is in the military, so we end up going to some pretty bizarre places. Oromocto being one of them!! But it is all a learning experience, we have learned to never go there to live again!!! It is a nice place to visit, New Brunswick that is, but living at the army base was not much fun, way to much army for us!!
We have been to some pretty incredible places in Prince Edward Island, Cape Breton, Halifax, Montreal, Quebec City, Ottawa, New York City, New York State, Stanford, CT, Providence, RI; Maine; Vermont; Boston, Massachusetts; Cape Cod; New Hampshire, Atlantic City, NJ, Baltimore, Washington DC, and Pennsylvania. Out of all those places the best one was New York City, it was incredible, not so sure Bill would agree with me, but it is so big, so busy and so loud. The streets are packed with people and cars, there is not a place that you go in NYC that is not busy, we took the subway all over the city(and I mean all over the city!!), even to the Bronx, and to places most tourists should not go, but it was so cool. We did go and see the World Trade Center Site, seeing that makes a person feel very small, it was so surreal, almost unbelievable, to know that humankind could have done that to another just defies description, to see the destruction, the aftermath, I truly have no words to describe it, it is something that will forever be etched in my mind, something I hope to never see again.
On our trip across country to BC, we decided to take a little detour, to Nashville, Tennessee, what an awesome city, we were just disappointed it was not hockey season(which alas does not seem to be happenin this season) but it was June, so no hockey games for us, we did manage to check out the Gaylord Arena where the Predators play. We went to Nashville for another purpose though, PANCAKES......don't ask!!! There is a pancake house where Vince Gill eats pretty much every day that he is in Nashville, well we never did make it to the pancake house(and I still have not heard the end of that one), so we will never know if Vince Gill was there that day or not, but the next time we are in Nashville, we will be going there. We took our cat Mac on the trip, we thought we had killed him in Nashville, the heat and humidity was unbearable, but he is fine today, still as lazy as ever!! But we love him, and he is spoiled rotten!!! Well travelled cat, more so then most people. He has had some adventures along the way, if only he could talk, the things he would tell you!!!
We took a lot of time over the summer to explore the Vancouver Island and to see all that we could before Bill had to go back to work, those federal gov't workers...they sure have an easy life!!! But they will all disagree with me on that, so whatever!!
Oh ya...does the page look crooked or is it just me? I am going to add another page after this one once I figure out what to say, so for the time being I am going to leave it unfinished....this is hard guys, so be patient!!!
