RUMPYVILL BACK IN GEAR AFTER BLANKING SURGING BERGLAND 5-0
An Article From The Fort Macfie Today's Harry Doyle

RUMPYVILL, FL The housers were able to end their four game losing streak at home against the Iceholes.  Led by the efforts of Captain Joe Thornton, RumpyVill defeated Bergland 5-0.  With the win the housers move two points ahead of the Iceholes into fourth place.  Bergland moves down to fifth place with 142 points on the season.

The Grrrowl were able to continue their undefeated streak to thirteen straight games and hold onto first place.  However, they did not get a win.  They tied the Natives 3-3 at the Infinity Center in Nut Town.  The Natives are currently holding onto the sixth and final playoff spot with 138 points.

Markerville had a slow start to the season but have turned into one of the leagues hottest teams, they have won nine of their last eleven games including a current four game winning streak after strolling into the provincial rivals arena in Olchowyville and defeating the Leafs 3-1.  The Six Guns are tied with the Falcons for seventh place as both clubs are only one point behind the Natives for the last playoff spot. Olchowyville are in eleventh place, but only nine points out of sixth and still have a shot at making the playoffs for the first time in franchise history.

The defending champions from Dionland still find themselves out of a playoff spot after edging the Slammers 4-3 at home in the Gatorade Center.  Tomas Vokoun shut the door on the Slammers in order to get the win for the Twists. Brantown hold onto third spot but have the same amount of points as the fourth place Housers.  Dionland occupy the tenth position but in the tight playoff race are only four points behind the Natives for sixth.

Fort Mac put together a late third period rally to get past the Falcons 3-2 even with recently engaged GM Craig Macfie away on holidays in Mexico all week.  Adamville, as mentioned earlier are one point of the playoffs in seventh spot while Fort Mac are two points out of the playoffs in ninth.

They are not yet mathematically eliminated but the chances of the Petes making the playoffs are very small.  They were unable to play to roll of spoiler for the second straight week as the second place Assassins downed Marktown 3-2 on the weekend.  Gregville are eight points behind the league leading Grrrowl.  The Petes dwell in the basement twenty-three points of a playoff spot.

It is shaping up to be the most exciting and closest playoff race in league history with all twelve teams in contention to make the playoffs.  With big wins this week the Grrrowl and the Assassins could be the first two teams to clinch playoff berths.
