Skirmish at the WyrmSpireBackgroundThe Theocrats that control the Protectorate of Menoth do not look kindly on the worshipers of other gods. It comes as no surprise that many of the Theocrats hate Toruk, the Lord of Wyrms, most of all mortals, for he dares to make himself a god in the eyes of the people of the Kingdom of Cryx. Exemplar Kreoss, seeking to find favor with these Theocrats has set out to desecrate a known holy site on the edge of the Scharde Islands and bring back proof of his deeds for their admiration. As his actions are not sanctioned by the Temple he has only brought a small force of Warjacks with him for safety. He does not need more, however, for the favor of Menoth is upon him and he knows the day will be his. Warwitch Deneghra, whose wargroup has been assigned to patrol the island home of the WyrmSpire has decided to take a pilgrimage there and pay homage to her lord and master. The Scharde islands are a wild and dangerous place and Deneghra is never too far from her Warjacks. Preferring solitude, she has left the majority of her command behind. And so it is that Kreoss has come upon the holy site and found it to be defended. Seeing him coming, Deneghra has prepared her troops. She doesn't mind the intruder's presence. Their death will only mean more blood for Toruk's altar and more bodies for the NecroTech's to sculpt into Thralls. ObjectivesKill the enemy Warcaster in the name of your god! ForcesThe players will each receive a starter box, one Menoth and one Cryx for their force. No substitutions will be allowed. DeploymentThe Cryx player will deploy first within 4" of the WyrmSpire, which should be placed on a table edge. The Menoth player will then deploy within 4" of the opposite table edge. The players will roll 1D6 and the high roller chooses who takes the first turn.
