Guest Speaker Event!

On 12 October 2003, South Australian Romance Writers Inc. held a guest speaker event for their members and members guests. While there were a few hiccups, the mornign was enjoyed by all. Commencing at 10am, members were treated to the announcement of the winners of Happily Ever After!, SARW Inc.'s inaugural competition. Congratulations to Lisa De Candia and Helen Katsinis, whose fantastic entries were Runners-Up. A big congratulations to our winner, Fiona Lowe. Fiona hails from Victoria and her winning entry, The Midwife's Mission, has been requested by the London Mills & Boon office! Well done Fiona!

The second part of the event was reserved for our guest speaker.
Unfortunately, Kirsty Brooks was unable to make it, so our very own published author, Lucy Clark, bravely stepped forward to fill the void! Lucy spoke on publishing and industry inside information, telling us all about galley proofs, checking for errors and typos, and exactly how those titles and pictures get chosen for her covers!
