| January 22, 2001 10:25pm (Abby's Thoughts) Yay! Sarah and Christine gave me my belated christmas present yesterday. It's an Allen Iverson clock. It's really cool! I was very excited when I opened it. =) First day of classes was really good. My class load is super light this semester. Right now I have classes only on Tuesdays and Thursdays so I feel like I need to fill my other days with something. I think I'll try to get a job at the library. Even though people say it's super boring, at least I'll be forced to do homework. Hee hee. But yeah, I was slightly intimidated by my class on Congress cuz it seemed like a lot of people have worked on Capitol Hill or in Sacramento or something. It kinda makes me want to try an internship in DC too, but I think that's more of just a pride thing. Like, just to be able to SAY I've worked on Capitol Hill. Although there WAS a time when I was thinking about going into politics or public policy or something. I really like running into people on campus. It totally makes my day. And since there's like 10 people I know that are in my poli sci 137 class, I get to "run into" people every Tuesday and Thursday! I like Sarah. We have lots of fun together. On Sunday night, we watched a mini-marathon of "Trading Spaces." That is SUCH a great show. I tell everyone about it. It was super fun to watch. I think the show was enhanced by our 2 bottles of Starbucks frappuccinos that we each drank. Hee hee. Caffeine high!!! But we're giving those up so no more caffeine for awhile. *sigh* Hmm, there was something I wanted to update about and I forget now. Oh wells. Maybe next time. Goodnight world! |
