| February 27, 2002 11:55 AM (Abby's Thoughts) Wow! 3 updates in a row!!! hee hee...this week has just been FULL of profound thoughts then! =) J/K...I think it just means that I'm procrastinating a lot more this week by posting to this website. =) So many things to be thankful for. =) I really really appreciate friends. That sounds kinda obvious, but I am constantly reminded of how great people are. =) Like yesterday, for example. Yesterday was a full-of-friends day. Tuesdays and Thursdays are my campus days cuz those are the days I have class. So I usually only get to run into people on those 2 days. Yesterday was super fun cuz I miss running into people. And there are LOTS of people in my classes this semester so it makes going to class not so yucky. I mean, class is not fun, but getting to see lots of cool people in those classes makes up for it. And then the RSF with Jessie was fun. I'm trying to get in shape but I don't think going to the RSF only 2 days a week is gonna cut it. Hee hee. I would like to try jogging again but then I have to get up super early and that takes a lot of discipline. *sigh* Perhaps I should though. So I can LEARN discipline. =) Anyways, RSF is fun cuz Jessie and I just talk while we ride the bikes so it makes the time go really fast and before we know it, we're done! =) And then Jeff and Kev tried to show us how to work out our triceps. It was hard. And we only did 2 sets! I think we have to work on that more. Hee hee. Then Jessie and I went to Funhouse to visit. It was cool cuz I never visit unless I'm with Jessie for some reason. We tried to scare Jon by hiding in his closet but it didn't work too well. He said it's cuz HE'S so good at scaring people that it's really hard for others to scare him. I think he was challenging us. We'll show him! =) And I was SHOCKED to find that Funhouse didn't have any cheese for me to eat! I was craving cheese and Jessie said Funhouse always has cheese. Which I thought was true too considering the amount of cheese Scott alone consumes! But alas, all Sammy could offer me was the packaged cheese slices which is SOOO not the same. Hee hee. Then back to Hannah and Jessie's so I could get another star. Hahaha. I think Jon and I are the only ones who really care about getting the most stars. But yeah, it was fun chatting with Hannah while she was getting ready for a nap. I feel bad. I didn't let her sleep. Hee hee. Small group was reeeeeeally good. I just love meeting with my sisters and talking and praying together and eating cheesecake for an early celebration of Christina's birthday. =) It was just a very refreshing evening. Especially cuz I've been REALLY distracted lately so it was good praying with our accountability partners. Jessie is funny. I like praying with her. I think it's very unique when we pray together...hee hee...it makes me smile. =) But yeah, small group is just really fun. Lots of laughter. All of the girls in our group make me laugh a lot. Oh, and when I got home, I had a message on my cell phone from my friend from back home. We grew up together but he went to UCI so I don't see him much anymore so it was really exciting to get a message from him! He just called to say hi. That made me very happy. =) And then I talked to Avery who is always entertaining. He likes to tease Sarah which I think is very amusing. I sometimes join in. =) But not too much so she knows that I love her. =) Oh, and two days ago, I talked to Es!!! I like when we catch up on the phone. She's my one long-distance friend that I really keep up with regularly. It's hard when someone is far away but what I appreciate a lot about Es is that she always makes an effort to make sure we stay in regular contact so that we can pray for each other and keep each other accountable. =) Talking with Sarah is super-ific!!! She is such a great listener and she is always ready to listen to me spaz and vent and go crazy over silly things (i.e. boy stuff...hahaha). =) And she's always ready to pray for me after too. And she's a good advice-giver. =) She's just super! =) The best part about living together is that we can both crawl into our beds and just talk and talk and talk. =) Whew. Yesterday was fun. Friends are amazing and precious gifts from God. |
