�Mmmm�Good morning. What is he doing here?� �Well, he said he was taking care of his ma.� �His ma?� �Yep, his ma.� A few minutes later they heard footsteps coming up the stairs and then Colleen and Matthew walked in with a tray. �Thought you might like to have breakfast in bed.� �Thank you, but why don�t you go get your own plates and one for Brian and we can all have breakfast in bed.� Later in the afternoon Sully and the kids were working on the nursery again while Michaela and Brian were making cookies. Michaela had wanted to help with the nursery, but Sully wanted it to be a surprise so he told Brian not to let her go anywhere near it. They had just put the cookies in the oven when they heard a loud knock at the door. Michaela opened the door and was greeted by a man saying, �You killed my son. It was your fault he died.� Michaela was shocked. She didn�t know who that man was or why he was accusing her of killing his son. Brian had overheard everything the man was saying and he ran upstairs to get Sully. Sully went down to where Michaela was as fast as he could. When he got there he heard the man still yelling at Michaela. �You and your family are always causing trouble for us.� �First your father and now you.� Michaela felt Sully�s hand on her shoulder. �Who are you? And what do you mean my family has always caused trouble for you?� �Well, maybe that�s something you should ask your father then.� Before Michaela had a chance to ask any more questions the man turned around and left. She shut the door and as soon as she turned around she clenched her stomach. �Michaela�Michaela what� wrong?� Sully immediately put her arms around her. �Sully�I think�.I think we have to get to the hospital.� Her voice was filled with fear. Chapter 20 Sully yelled for the children to come downstairs and they all left for the hospital. On the way there the children were quiet and confused about what was going on. All they could knew was that Michaela was in pain and she had tears coming down her cheeks. They would have normally asked Sully about what was going on, but he was too busy trying to get to the hospital as fast as he could without causing an accident. They finally arrived at the hospital and while Sully helped Michaela out of the car, the children went inside to see if they could find Josef. Michaela was terrified and her tears just came coming. �Sully�it�s too early�� �Michaela�You and the babies are going to be fine.� �I�m not going to let anything happen to you.� Michaela nodded in response and rubbed her stomach, trying to get the pain to subside. Just then the children came back out with a wheelchair for Michaela. �Did you find Josef?� Sully asked as he helped Michaela into the chair. �No. They said he was in with a patient, but as soon as he�s done he�s supposed to meet us.� They went inside and Sully told the children to wait for him in the waiting room until he got Michaela settled. Sully and Michaela were taken to a room and were told that the Doctor would be with them in just a short while. Sully knew Michaela was still nervous so he took her hand in his and looked into her eyes. �Michaela, there is nothing you and I can�t face together. We�ll get through this. You and me together.� Sully wiped away the sweat that was forming on her forehead ever so gently. |
