The days came and went and each day was another day closer to the wedding. Michaela was excited, but she was also getting nervous. She had never been with a man before and it frightened her some. Yet the fact that she would soon be Mrs. Byron Sully excited her. Sully was also starting to get excited. He couldn�t believe that in a month he would be married to Michaela. �Michaela� he thought. Just the sound of her name made his heart race. He was on his way to visit Michaela when he ran into Hank. �Hey Sully.� �Afternoon Hank, I�m glad I ran into you.� �Why�s that?� �I have something to ask you.� �What is it?� �Well, I was wondering if you would be my best man at the wedding.� �I thought you�d be asking your brother.� �Well, he had to leave and he won�t be attending the wedding.� Hank thought it was strange how William had suddenly left town and knew better than to ask Sully what had happened. �Well in that case, I�d be happy to.� The men shook hands and Sully took off to find Michaela. Michaela was at her desk when she saw Sully walk in. �Hey there, I was wondering if I could take you out to lunch and maybe kidnap you the rest of the day.� �Oh Sully, I wish I could, but I�m supposed to meet Dorothy and the terrible foursome so we can pick out their bridesmaid dresses and the pick up the wedding invitations.� Sully had made his way to where she was sitting and was kneeling beside her. �Can�t that wait?� he asked as he nuzzled her neck. �MMMM� It does sound tempting, but I really have to do this today.� �Come on Michaela, we could go to our special hideaway.� Sully kept nuzzling her neck. Michaela�s pulse was racing. �Sully� you�re terrible. You know as well as I do that if I don�t do this today it will never get done.� Sully reluctantly pulled away and smiled. �You�re right. I�ll just have to do without you today.� Michaela ran her hands through his hair and gazed into those crystal blue eyes. �I love you more than anything in this world.� �That�s impossible because you can�t possibly love me as much as I love you.� He gave Michaela a kiss and left. Michaela finished what she was doing and went to meet the nurses at their station. They were having a little meeting with their head nurse Charlotte so she patiently waited for them to finish. As the meeting ended and the terrible foursome gathered their things Michaela talked with Charlotte. Charlotte had been working at the hospital for years and she had known Michaela since she was doing her residency. �Afternoon Charlotte, how are you doing?� �I�m good Dr. Quinn. Are you getting nervous about the wedding?� Michaela smiled and nodded. �How are your kids doing?� �They�re good. Brian just turned four and Colleen and Matthew just keep growing up faster than I can keep up with.� �Ready Michaela?� The nurses were all ready to leave. �Let�s go. I�ll see you later Charlotte.� They waved good-bye to Charlotte and left to hunt down the bridesmaid dresses |
