Thats funny, Jake said Sully told him the same thing about you. Dorothy said joining the conversation.  Michaela glanced at Sully and when he caught her gaze she bent her head down and felt her cheeks getting hotter.

Dorothy and Anne exchanged looks and both gave knowing smiles to one another. The rest of the party they both noticed that Michaela and Sully would sneak glances at one another when they thought no one else was looking. The party was still going strong but unfortunately all the late nights of work and unpacking were catching up to Michaela.  All of the sudden she was feeling tired and although she was having a wonderful time at the party she wanted to be at home resting.  She walked through the house trying to find Dorothy, but she was nowhere to be found. She saw Anne talking with Sully across the room and decided to go over there to see if she knew where Dorothy was.

Anne, do you know where Dorothy is? Im feeling tired and would like to go home.

I havent seen Dorothy in a while, but if you want to go home I can take you.

Id hate for you to leave the party, Ill just go home by myself. If you see Dorothy could you please tell her? Michaela hugged Anne good night and went to get her things.

Anne waited until Michaela was out of earshot and nudged Sully. Why dont you take her home?

I dont want to make her feel uncomfortable.

Sully, if a girl has to choose between walking around a city she doesnt know by herself and walking with a handsome man, she would choose the handsome man. Sully smiled at her and headed off to find Michaela.  Michaela was about to walk out the door when she felt a hand on her shoulder, Michaela, Ill take you home if youd like. Michaela turned around and saw Sully standing behind her.

I wouldnt want you to leave the party.

I dont mind, I was about to head home anyway.

Michaelas heart started to beat fast at the thought of being alone with Sully, In that case Id love the company. Sully opened the door for her and together they headed out into the night.

Would you like to take a cab? Or would you like to walk?

Michaela looked up at the clear night sky and felt the crisp air hit her face. Lets walk Sully was a little glad to hear that. A cab ride to her house would have meant that their time alone would be limited, but a walk to her house would give them more time together.

During their walk Michaela told Sully about her life in Boston, her family and the reason she chose to come to Colorado Springs.  Sully hung on to very word that fell from her lips, enjoying the sound of her voice.  It was full of love and each time he saw her smile, his heart skipped a beat.  There were moments when she looked him in the eye, staring into the depths of his blue eyes while he couldn't remove himself from her uniquely colored eyes.  Her left eye was brown while her right eye was green.  Those eyes, that smile, that voice, it was almost more than he could handle.  Sure there were beautiful women in Colorado Springs, but there was jsut something about her.

After Michaela had told Sully everything there was to know about her, she let him talk, and would sneak glances at him every once in a while.  His voice was soothing to her and even though they had just met she knew that he wouldnt let anything or anyone hurt her. At one point during their walk their hands brushed against each other and each one could feel sparks run through their bodies.  They were walking by an empty meadow when Michaela saw something twinkle. Sully followed her gaze and saw the same thing.

Ever chased a lightning bug before?

No. As a matter of fact I dont think Ive ever seen one in Boston.

Come on. Sully said grabbing Michaelas hand and leading her to the meadow.

Sully what are you doing? Michaela asked between giggles.

I am not doing anything, however were going to catch a lightning bug.

When they reached the meadow Michaela saw there were many more lightning bugs.  Ready? Sully asked letting go of her hand.

How do you catch them?

Just cup your hands and catch them between your palms. Look theres one over there. Michaela followed the direction he was pointing and together they ran after it.  The lightning bug led them to a secluded part of the meadow and they decided to go at it from opposite sides.
