JEWISH LEARNING
For the beginning part of the year I took an adult education class at the Talmud Torah of Minneapols.  I went once a week to a Yiddish Language class. After this course was over I often attended Rabbi Lief's weekly toray study.  If I did not attend his class I would try to attend an interesting lecture on campus or in the community.
I also tried to put Jewish content into alot of my programming. I did a program about Kosher Sex.  We ate strawberrys and chocolate while learning about a variety of the Jewish Views on Sex. Below is a picture from this program.

Both years on Yom Kippur I gave the dvar torah and that was an excellent way to study the portion and teach to the community.  Both years I also led a Passover Women's Seder and several Rosh Chodesh groups that included Jewish learning in preparation for the events.
The second year of the fellowship proved very difficult to organize my Jewish Learning  experiences.  I attempted to take the University Hebrew course, but lost time to take on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons.  I made a concerted effort to attend the lectures that the Center for Jewish Studies would sponsor in the community. This opportunity is a great one and the  JCSC should take responsibility to make it happen.
