This was a relaxing morning. No excursions, just going up the river

Yet another lock. In the start of the trip I was disapointed that I was either asleep or in the dinning room each time we went through a lock... but by this time, day 7.... I had seen 3 of them twice on the soan and 12 of them twice on the Rhone., thats 30 locks....They are huge, 195 meters long by 12 meters wide .This height of the lift in this one was 22 feet.

Large hotel on the river
Every day the German tourists would grab all the chaise lounges first thing in the morning. They would put towels on them along with their books. This day, being our last we made sure to get a chaise. One day Alan and Jill grabbed two and sat there reading their books but by the afternoon they had been completly surounded by the German tourists. Sure wish I had taken a picture of that...
