A stone house, a Borie, built with no morter.These were used as homes in the area from 600bc up through Roman times.

Here we are
Gordes is another place I would like more time to explore. We got to look at it but drove right through.
The workmanship is amazing.
Love this ruin of a wall with the palm tree growing.
There are streets winding all around these homes.
Italy? or France?

I took LOTS of pictures here. They have a gift shop selling things they have made  Lavender oil, perfume, sachets and my favorite, honey. As you can imagine it smelled wonderful.
Roussillon...this hilltop town was known for its red colored soil. Ochre is still used to color the houses.

We walked through this outdoor market Couldnt buy any of the meats or cheese but did buy some soap.

The monks who live here raise bees and sell the honey. Lavender Honey...mmmm
