How I Review Sites

After you submit your site to me via email, I soon begin my reviewing. Each of your pages gets rated out of 100
points. You can get a possible 20 points from each of the following 5 categories:

                                                                    * Overall Layout *
                                                                      * Background *
                                                                        * Images *
                                                                     * Information *
                                                                      * Technicals *

   I also add a few comments under each category and the page as a whole. These comments may include what I liked,
   what I didn't like, or my suggestions for improving. These sections for comments have no point value; they are there
   just to help you out. Please don't take my views to heart. It's just my humble opinion.
   Below are the explanations of the five point categories.

        Overall Layout - The overall layout of your page is based on neatness and appeal to the eye. I'm not too picky
   about this category, but if things are just strewn about the page with little organization, you will get a lower score.
   Try to have things neatly organized, centered, and clearly labeled.

        Background - This is usually a free 20 points, but if your background is too busy or doesn't fit your page topic,
   you will suffer. My advice: Keep backgrounds relatively simple. And, if you have a busy background (like the
   background throughout my site) put text in white boxes so it is easier to read. I find that this is very considerate, and
   smile every time I notice it!

        Images - This category rates the images that appear on your site. Pictures should look nice and be organized
   appealingly. And try not to have too many images splattered on a page. One of my personal pet peeves is seeing a
   blurry or unclear image. Try not to have any of these on your page, because your score may suffer.

        Information - Any information on your site, whether it's character bios or season summaries, should be accurate,
   with little or no spelling or grammatical errors. There's nothing I hate more than seeing stupid spelling mistakes. The
   information on your site should be organized nicely and easy to understand.

        Technicals - This category includes loading time, fonts, colors, links, etc. I'm sometimes picky about these things.
   My tips: Don't have huge or hard to read fonts, pick colors wisely, and make sure your links work!

   For each page, I add up the points you received for each of these categories, and get a total out of 100 points.
   After I rate all of the pages on your site, I take the average to find your overall score, also out of 100 points. Based
   on this, you may receive one of my six awards, described below:

                                    *   0 to 19 points -- Bright Start Award
                                    * 20 to 39 points -- 1 Star Site
                                    * 40 to 59 points -- 2 Star Site
                                    * 60 to 79 points -- 3 Star Site of Greatness
                                    * 80 to 94 points -- 4 Star Site of Excellence
                                    * 95 to 100 points -- 4 Star Platinum Award
