| Matthew Langford Perry was born on August 19th, 1969 in Williamstown, Massachusets. But he grrew up in Ontario, Ottawa. His parents got divorced when he wasn`t even a year old. Matthwe was a big tennis-lover, he started at the age of four and got to be no. 2 in Ottawa.. When he was in the seventh grade he started acting. At the age of 15 he moved to L.A. to his father, where he wanted to test his tennis and acting skills. He was prepared for his first big U.S. tennis match, but somehow it went wrong and he decided to choose an acting career instead. In 1985/96 he starred in a few films. After his graduation he intended to go to the University of southern california, but then he got offered a leading role for " Boys will be boys" and he chose to do this instead. He played in a lot of other TV-series, he even had a guest-star apparence in "Beverly Hills 90210". In 1993, Perry and his good friend originally wanted to write theit own sitcom "Maxwell`s house", which was about the lives of friends around the age of twenty. But NBC had a similar sitcom in the works, which was later known as FRIENDS. In 1994 Matthew auditioned for the show and got the part of Chandler Bing. He also did a lot of movies like "Fools rush in"with Selma Hayek or "The whole nine yards" next to Bruce Willis. He is still single, but he has dated a lot of women, also Julia Roberts. At the moment there is the rumour of being engaged to his girlfriend Andi O`Reilly. |
