This cleverly written play by author Christine Aziz alternates between the 1950's glitzy American film industry and the ex-pat English literary set of the early 1800s, which included the poets Byron (Andrew Slade) and Percy Shelley (Justin Bikram) and Shelley's 17-year-old wife, Mary (an impressively anguished Sarah Llewellyn-Shore).
Each agreeing to write a ghost story, Mary's contribution astounds everyone. But with the deaths of her children, followed by Shelley's drowning, she feels she is as cursed as her literary creation. |
