1
Get over the "I don't know if I'd do a good job; someone else might be more qualified than me" hurdle and push yourself to run!
2

Follow the rules and make yourself eligible to run by announcing your candidacy before the deadline.

3
Ask ten people to sign your petition and make sure these people understand why you want to run.
4
Look around the school and choose an issue you can propose a solution to.
5

Develop a "platform" and publicize it with posters, fellow students, teachers, and school administrators.

6
Start working on your campaign speech and focus on your platform. This may be the most important part of your campaign - practice!
7
Make campaign posters with your name as the largest thing on them. Hang them so they will stand out.
8
Talk to everyone you can and ask them to vote - make sure your friends cast their ballots.
9
Vote for yourself!
