Well, I've been a lazy slacker for months and months. It's the end of the summer, and it has been an eventful one to say the least. Jay has been living in Charlotte for almost a month now and it's great - he's loving his job and I'm loving him being around all the time.

My sister is living in Mexico and studying abroad - which is good times for her, but we do miss her.

My brother did great with his August 1 surgery and is looking better than ever.

The summer was long and we recruited students for Wingate like it was our job --- oh wait...it IS our job. Anyway. It's a new school year and I'm trying to mentally and physically prepare myself for the upcoming 6 weeks I will spend on the road recruiting students, mostly in southeastern PA and New Jersey. Blah...it's going to be hard to be away from Jay at this point.

And today, it looks like a good bit of Louisiana is going to be swept away by Hurricane Katrina. What a bitch...that's really scary/sad. Hope the peeps down there are ok.

Ok...really. Someday I really will have a blog. I swear. I don't swear ON anything, but I mean it. I'm going to have a blog so help me Jesus. Or whoever.

Oh, man...it's HOT here. But I am trying to suck it up and acclimate. This weekend Jay was down here and we had a good time - went to the local amusement park, Carowinds (a Paramount park!) There were some sweet rides, and lots of Nickelodeon stuff. SPONGEBOB! That makes me happy. :)

This weekend we're heading even further south - to Hotlanta, Georgia - to spend a weekend with my infamous Aunt Cathey. Should be a pretty sweet time.

Happy to be spending tons of time with Jay this month - if he can just get a job here I'll be the happiest girl ever!

Yeah...it says June notes but this is a May entry. That's me admitting how much of a slacker I am, that it's the end of May and it's my first entry, and soon it will be June and I'm too lazy to have to redo this page. *sigh* Even the quotes have been slacking, in that most of the best quotes are uttered in person or on the phone and I don't take the time to write them down. I'm so lazy that even when I save IM convos so that I can put something on the quote page, I either forget or flat-out don't do it.

Well, tomorrow I will be 25. That's kinda neat...and kinda scary. They say the next 25 years will go much faster than the first - like take about half the amount of time. What if my life is 1/3 over? That's scary. Next topic.

I'm going home to Alfred tomorrow for the birthday. Jay and I are both flying to Rochester and then driving together to Alfred. Should be a good time - provided my flight isn't an end-of-days experience like the one I had Sunday night coming back from NYC. Yeah - trip to NYC in a nutshell: Death and destruction in the form of a plane crash on Coney Island, crazy bitch on the subway, delayed flight due to technical problems and then the flight from Hades that nearly killed us all and forced people to pray and use their oxygen masks. Great.

ANYWAY.

Alfred. Good times. :)

Biggest news right now - Jay quit Teen People and is definitely moving to CLT. Now that is something to celebrate!
