Sapid first started in the year of2002. Originally the band had four members (Micheal Simpsoon, Andrew Lewis, James Broderick and Dan Curtis after one gig disagreements in Sapid lead to James (Lead Guitarist) to leave. He is now in a seccessful band named "Overdrive" and Sapid keep in contact and play with Overdrive occasionaly.
After the leaving of James Sapids genre changed. From hard punk to a heavier style of music, after a 2 song showcase of Sapids new material they became more confident with what they were doing. Then after a few more gigs they began to construct a small fan-base and started contacting larger bands to try and increase the places they played.
Then came Sapids debut EP. This was named "Black Noise" and can be brought through any of the band members that can be contacted through [email protected] This EP couldnt really bring the power of Sapid live to the fans home because of it being far to light and Sapids live set being much more heavy and exciting.
At the moment (5.4.03) they have stopped playing gigs and are working on making more songs for a better and heavier set. A new E.P containing 2 or 3 songs should be being created soon. We have now played alongside the likes of Donkey, Rate of Depress, Abuse, Overdrive and the ultimate "Happy Traumas"
