My 2 boys have been attending Sandy's House Daycare since they were 6 weeks old (my oldest is now 8. I would highly recommend Sandy to anyone looking for quality childcare. Both of my sons have accelerated in a variety of areas and I give alot of the credit to Sandy. They are constantly learning, Sandy hatches butterflies and ladybugs every year, she has tadpoles so the children can learn the different stages of a frog. They go on numerous field trips every month (museums, zoos, library, plays, open gym, concerts in the park, the fire station, etc). My oldest was reading before he entered kindergarten and is taking violin lessons because he wants to play the violin like Sandy!! Sandy has a very patient personality and unique ways of dealing with children. Also she is wonderful at making suggestions and working with parents to resolve issues (when to potty train, getting rid of the pacifier, dealing with the biting stage, separation anxiety). My husband and I have been happily using Sandy's daycare services for 8 years. My first son, who is now 10, started with Sandy when he was 2 and was with Sandy until he started school. My younger son, who is now 5, has been with Sandy since he was 3 months. To Whom It May Concern: Prior to coming to Sandy�s, Kevin and I had Adam in two different home day care situations and one large center. In between those arrangements I also visited countless other homes and centers in the Schaumburg/Hoffman Estates area and let me tell you from experience, Sandy�s is by far the best. Sandy follows the highest standards regarding safety, security and cleanliness in her home. She continues to provide licensed day care and therefore is in compliance (and then some) with all state regulations. Her communication with parents is always clear and professional. Sandy is a member of a local day care association and has served as its referral officer. She keeps up-to-date on the current issues regarding child care/education through her own research and attendance at conferences and seminars. We have always been very impressed by Sandy�s way of working with young children. She always has the house running smoothly and everyone happily engaged in an activity. She is both loving and fun-loving and quickly puts children at ease. She believes strongly in providing an educational environment for the children in her home through reading, math concepts and art/craft activities and games. She plans outings to local parks, zoos and children�s museums throughout the year to provide additional opportunities for learning, fun and hands-on interaction. Our son has been attending "Sandy's House" daycare for just over 6 months and from week one we knew we made the right choice. My favorite story is how after our son's first day at Sandy's House he stood in the middle of our living room and proudly belted out "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" for the first time. We knew he was going to thrive in this new environment and he certainly has! He has made huge progress developmentally and we give the credit to Sandy. She gives the kids in her care lots of personal, loving attention and is great at sharing information with the parents via e-mail, daily written reports and photographs (viewed on a password-protected website). She takes the kids on great field trips and engages them in age-appropriate activities daily. Our son is always excited to return to Sandy's House on Monday after being away all weekend, and we can't think of anyone better to watch, protect, teach, guide and encourage him in our absence. Our 5months old (now) daughter greatly enjoys her time with Sandy and the other children. She is a part of all activities for the older kids and they definitely keep her entertained! From the day we interviewed with Sandy, we were impressed by her energy and creativity. The kids are constantly doing different learning activities and going places. We look forward to the pictures Sandy takes, they definitely capture moments that otherwise we would have missed being full time working parents.
