The Parlor
Here we see Katherine, the hostess for the evening, greeting her guest Victoria. Katherine is admiring Victoria's lovely new gown with matching hat and parasol.
In this picture you can see the tea cart with the silver tea service. All the furniture is mahogany with some of the tables having marble tops. On the table if front of the sofa is a wine and cheese tray ready for the evening guests. The curtains are made of two different lace trims mounted on a wood cornice.
This doll was hand made by Carol Griffith at Dear Dollies. It is a beautiful example of fine workmanship. She is dressed in a beautiful mint green and white silk and lace. The matching hat has flowers and feathers. The parasol is trimmed in the same silk and lace as thge gown and it has a lovely brass handle. This is truly an exquisite doll.
In this photo you can see the Parlor stove that is imported from Germany. Next to the stove is an actual working Grandfathers clock! Maggie the family dog is snoozing in her favorite spot in front of the parlor stove.
On the floor you can see some of a collection of fine hand turned wood vases made from exotic woods from all over the world. These vases ahve all been purchased from Van Dijk Miniatures. There are many more of these beautifully handcrafted vases and bowls throughout the mansion.
In this photo you can see some of the wonderful detail on the two dolls. They add so much realism to the dollhouse.
The "Gone With The Wind" style lamp on the side table is hand painted in a floral pattern. Don't the pastries look scrumptious?
