Trey's 2005 Sand Season

Well, the season started by selling the old VW sandrail and buying a new 2.0 litre Pinto powered 4 seat sandrail.  I had wanted a 4 seater for many years and finally decided that I had better do it before I got old.  I found this one in Washington and paid $6,750 for it.  It had some minor bugs; some which I have resolved, some which still need work.  However... it is a real strong machine with lots of power!  What a lot of fun to drive it!  Even more fun to be able to invite more people to go with me into the dunes.

In May, Jackie and I went to Florence with the Odd Fellows from Chemeketa Lodge to work on the park and also have some fun.  Here are some of us.
In June, Christie and some of her friends went camping at the beach.  I drove down and spent one day at the dunes with them.  This was just after they had graduated from OSU. From left to right; Kari, Christie and Jordan.

In July, I took Noel, Mick and Tristan to the dunes near Winchester Bay. Regretfully, we broke a rocker arm.  However, we still found some fun.
Emily, Eric, Nicholas, and Ashley joined me at the dunes in July, but the rail was not running well.  It was a nice day to be at the beach, though!
Oto and I went to the dunes in October.  Brrr...  It was cool
