Paulsboro is a small town nestled on the Delaware River, directly across from the city of Philadelphia. Paulsboro is located in the County of Gloucester, and has a population of about 6,500 people. Paulsboro is about 2.1 square miles.


The town has a Police Municipal Building, two Fire Departments, and one Ambulance Squad. The Amublance Squad and Fire Departments are made up of dedicated Men and Women who volunteer their time to serve the community.



The Billingsport Volunteer Fire Assocication was esrablished October 8, 1904. To this day, it is still an all volunteer fire company. The blue Engine 1721 is a 1994 Saulsbury 1500 G.P.M. Pumper with 750 gallons of water and is capable of carrying six firefighters. The red Engine is a 1090 E- One 1500 gallons per minute pumper. The truck has a seven person enclosed cab and a 750 gallon water tank.
