*Chapter 8*

I've been at OVW for 5 months now and it's been amazing. All of my co-workers are awesome, and the live events are the best. I only trained for about 5 weeks before they had me debut. I was actually placed as Shannon Moore's valet originally, but now I wrestle too. Oh, and Shannon's amazing. He'll be on WWE TV soon, they're just waiting until there's room in the shows for him. And we've been dating since, well since the day we met I suppose. He's a great guy, and I've made a lot of friends here, but I still miss Brian sometimes, and my quiet life back at SDW. I sort of lost touch with Brian. We talk occasionally, which really means 2 or 3 times a month, but it's just too hard. He hasn't dated, just like I knew he wouldn't, so it's really hard for me to talk about Shannon. Other than that, wrestling has been great. I've had some amazing matches with Sharmell and Victoria, and after the shows I get to meet fans - which is the best part. Especially the OVW fans. They're so dedicated and in love with the business. It's awesome to meet people like that who love what we do so much and wish the best for us.
*******************************************************************************************
So it's Friday night, which means it's time for our weekly live event. I have a title shot for the Women's belt against Victoria, which, even though I'm not set to win, is extremely cool because it's my first title shot at OVW. And Shannon will accompany me at ringside.
We arrived at the show and found out that my match was second to last, which was amazing because that's almost main event. I got into my gear and prepared myself for the match. When it came time and my music hit ("Bullets" by Creed) I was in another state of mind. It was probably the best match of my professional career thus far. I was very pleased with my performance, and the fans loved it.
After the match, Victoria grabbed the belt and headed out of the arena. Shannon helped me up because I was still a bit `disoriented'. Then the whole arena arrupted in applause and cheers! I was so stunned, yet to proud to garner such a reaction, and a tear rolled down my cheek. I got out of the ring and went up the ramp, shaking as many fans hands as I could, then got backstage. Everyone back there loved the match too, and although it was a bit overwhelming, I was loving every second of it.
When the night was over, and Shannon and I were on our way home, as we walked out of the arena we saw a huge crowd of people. It was usually just a few of the "regular" fans who stayed after to talk to the wrestlers, but tonight there was just a huge crowd of people. Undoubtedly most of them were there to meet Brock Lesnar, or David Flair, or Mark Jindrak, or another of the main eventers, but there were a few fans there for me too! I talked to as many as I could, signed autographs, and took pictures with them. The crowd finally began to die down and me and Shannon walked to my car.
As we approached my car we saw a tall, dark figure leaning against it. Shannon told me to stay back, but the person looked almost familiar to me, so I continued walking. "Hello?" I yelled. I seemed to startle the person, because they jumped. Then I heard the voice I knew all too well. "Hey babe!" I couldn't have been more stunned then if it was Jolly ol' St. Nick himself. It was Brian.
"Brian! What the... how... when!?... what are you doing here?!" I asked as I wrapped my arms around him. "I'm on vacation from school, so I thought I'd come down and see you."
I realized Shannon was still standing behind me so I introduced him to Brian. "Oh, Brian this is Shannon, I've told you about him."
"Oh yeah..... hey."

I could feel the awkwardness coming so I quickly said, "Ya know we just finished a show, we really have to get home. Do you wanna come see where I live?"

"Yeah that would be cool."

We all got in my car and drove down to the apartments. Shannon and I decided that it would be best if he just went home for the night. So we kissed goodnight and I brought Brian up to my apartment.

I showed him around my place and told him about all the people I had met. We talked about OVW and how my wrestling was going.

He said, "Yeah I went to the show tonight. You were really impressive. I can tell this place has taught you a lot."

"Yeah it has." I said. "And I can't believe you came to the show..... it seems like so long since you've come to one of my shows."

"I know. And it's been so long since I've even seen you, that's why I had to come. But it seems like everything is going good for you here."

"Yeah it is... how about you? How's school?"

"School's good... football's good... everything's just kind of..... blah. But, uh... have you heard from the WWE yet?"

"No, not yet. But I've only been here for 5 months, so I don't really expect anything yet."

"Well I'm sure you'll make it eventually... Especially when Shane sees that match you just had. Do you always have matches like that?!"

"No, I really don't. I'd consider that one of the best matches of my career."

"It was amazing... So uh, when I'm done with college, should I still come find you?"

"Well... yeah... I mean, we'll see what happens, but you should still definitely come. Is that what you came down here to ask?!"

"Well, no..... just to see you and catch up. So... are you and Shannon very serious?"
"Oh I see, you came to get the low-down on Shannon... well, ummm, yeah we're kinda serious I guess. I'm not sure really. It's more like... just having someone to be with, so I'm not alone, ya know? But I'm sure you don't want to hear any more about Shannon."
"Well, as long as he makes you happy, then I guess I'm happy for you."
"Thank you, you know that means a lot to me." He gave me a hug. I hadn't realized how much I missed his touch.
Brian hung out for a while longer, and we talked more. It was just so great to see him again. I always feel like everything was right in the world when he was around. We ended up falling asleep on the couch.
