| *Chapter 6* Thursday came quickly and I was off to the airport. Brian drove me. When we got to the terminal we said our goodbyes and Brian left. That was it, he was just gone. I mean he was still only a phone call away but I knew things would never be the same between us. And then I boarded the airplane for Louisville, Kentucky. I was on my way to OVW. *************************************************************************************** I arrived in Louisville and just as Shane had promised there was a limo waiting for me. We pulled up to OVW and I saw Shane waiting outside. I got out of the car and walked up to him. "Hey Shane!" "Hey Jessica, it's good to see ya again! Let's go inside and I'll give you the grand tour!" "OK!" He took me inside and showed me things like the locker rooms, the gym, the offices, and of course the arena. It was an amazing place! It felt so good to be there, but I was really tire. "So Shane where will I be staying?" "Oh yes, there's an apartment building down the street for the wrestlers, that was the next stop on our tour." "Ok cool! How many wrestlers live there right now?" "About 30 or so I think. You'll have plenty of people to get to know." he winked at me. "I suppose we can go down now." He led me to the front door and we walked down the block to a really tall building. "This is where you'll be staying!" We walked in and Shannon Moore ran down the stairs past us. "Hey!" he yelled as he darted out the door! "Mmmmmm hottie!" I said as my eyes followed him out. Shane laughed. "Oh there's plenty more people here wait til you meet everyone! In the meantime, I'll show you to your room." He led me up 2 flights of stairs and down a hallway to apartment 3-J. He handed me the keys and said he had to head back to Stamford. "The limo should be coming around and the driver will take your stuff up to your room. So I guess you're free until Saturday. Training starts at 9:00 AM - DON'T be late! Maybe try and wander around here, meet some more people before you have to work with them." "Ok Shane, I will! Thanks so much for everything!" I hugged him and then he headed out. I immediately went inside to take a nap. Before I could even lay down I heard a knock at the door. I answered it and was shocked to see Sharmell Sullivan standing there! "Hey! I'm Sharmell! Looks like you're new here." "Yeah, I'm Jessica! I start on Saturday. Shane was just showin me around the place, it looks awesome!" "Ahh, Shane likes to treat all his employees well. You're lucky you got him as a tour guide!" she laughed as she saw the driver carrying my things up. "They go just in there!" I directed him towards my room. "Shane has been really nice! I hope I like it here!" "Oh yeah, it's great here I'm sure you'll fit in just fine! But anyway.... I had just wanted to stop by and say `hi', and I know it's hell moving into a new place so if you want some help anytime I'm in apartment 3-G just down there." She pointed down the hall. "Ok thanks Sharmell!! If I need anything I'll stop by!" "Ok, bye!" "Bye!" Cool! I had only been here a matter of minutes but I made a friend already. And it was Sharmell Sullivan! I knew I was gonna like this place! Especially if everything went as well as that! I decided that I'd take a nap and then try to `run into' more people later. |
