| COMMUNION The section of a gathering is which cakes and wine are enjoyed. The pagan version of this predates the Christian version significantly. |
| CLAVICLE A magickal tome of transcendental magick, the most recognized clavicle is the Key of Solomon. |
| CONE OF POWER The shape of the tass, or ether, created from a coven's combined energy. The cone of power is raised to be used for a specific purpose or as an energy magnifyer. The cone should always be released when the ritual has been completed. |
| CORD MAGICK An ancient form of magick thought to have persevered since prehistoric times. It involved using knots for various reasons ranging from protection of livestock, to ward off evil, and to damped unfaithful husbands revelries. |
| COVEN A family style group that works together to achieve common goals. Often used to refer to a witch's extended magickal family, covens are often very tightly knit and possess their own rituals and celebrations. |
| CORD Also called a cingulum, a measure of cord or string usued in initation rites that symbolizes the connection to the Mother or the connection to the magickal worlds. |
| CROWLEY, ALEISTER One of the most controversial occultist in recent history. Crowley was born in 1875, while as a young adult he traveled and absorbed as much magickal information as he could. His interests lead him from his past time mountain climbing to studying the Abra-Melin, Egyptian occult, black magick, and forms of Satanism. Crowley's life was a fast roller coaster of events, from his wife's alcoholism, to his daughter's death from typhoid while visiting China , Crowley ended up breaking and becomming addicted to heroin. He died at age 72 in 1947 in Netherwood Hotel in Hastings. |
| CUNNING PESON A magick user who worked with positive energies to reverse hexes and to heal the sick. |
| CYMRY A path of Welsh witchcraft. It features nine levels of attainment versus the three usually noted in Craft traditions. One person who is "awakened" to equal to all others, which is seen as different from other paths in which Elders and magus are given respect and een reverence. In the tradition of Cymry, since 1282 the Y Tylwyth Teg has been passed down maternally bringing the next generation into the fold of this long lived herditary path. Coven philosophy varies but is based upon the concept of the Thirteen Treasures or manuscripts. |
| DANCE One of the eight-fold paths, designed to invoke the spirit world. Dance is often accompanied by music, masks, and costume to aid the ritual's purpose. The most common example of this in Wicca, is the Spiral Dance. |
| DARK GODDESS The female aspect of life's death and decaying process. The personification of this state is often viewed as crone, as it is the Goddess's last stage before She is reborn as the Maiden. The Dark Goddess is also seen in the waning moon.. |
| DEATH CURSE The hex talked about in a 1964 radio broadcast by Austin Spare, in which he relayed that anyone could be killed by using this spell. It is reported that he marketed the spell in mass quantites. |

| DIANIC PATH A path of Paganism in which most participants are female and emphasis of worship is placed on the Goddess. |
| DAGYDE A needle attached to the end of a string that is used as a pendulum of sorts. Often used in imagine magick, the dagyde points to the area of affliction or interest. |
| DAEMON A male energy force, usually of a benevolent type. |
| DISCORDIAN A form of magick that involves humor and chaos as focal points. Discordians beleive that boredom destroys the fabric of life and shoul be rejected as should the norms of society. |
