CHARMS
Items used in image or healing magicks.  Charms often involve something worn by the afflicted,  a piece of paper that is recited manu fold then burned, or something consumed into the victim.  Charms repel negative forces or infouences.
CIRCLE
A circle that is created around ritual supplies, the altar, and attendees.  The most common circle is nine feet in diameter and contains at its four cardinal points the four elements of air, fire, water, and earth.  It served an a conduit for energy raised in the ritual.  Circles are sometimes used to keep out negative forces should the attendees need protection such as during a banishing or in land that carries a negative vibration, such as a house that holds a negative force.  A common idea of the correct construction of a circle is that the nine foot circle is ringed by yet two more circles one foot apart from each other, making the third ring 11ft in diameter.  Circles should be grounded when the ritual is completed and the forced attedning thanked and released.
