MERRY MEET
What is Paganism and Pagans?
Very simply put Paganism is any  religion other than one who worships Jesus Christ , or recognises him as their savior. It is a very large umbrella which covers many many different beliefs and practices, anything from the New Age Wicca to old fashioned Wytchcrafte. By association a Pagan is someone who practices one of these religions, and worships their own Gods and/or Goddesses.
Some of the things they dont do is sacrifice any living being, fly on broomsticks on a moonlight night, put hexes on anything, and they do not worship Satan. To worship the Devil they would have to believe in the one God and the idea of heaven and hell. They do not believe in that, so if they don't believe in hell then they can't worship something supposed to be in charge of that non existent place.
A lot of them, myself included, believe in the balance that we must have in life, in all we do. They are shown as the five elements, fire, water, air, earth and spirit.
Only by having all five in balance can we prosper and grow, these five form the points of the pentagram.. Why five? I have no idea but my guess is because we have five points to our body, the head, legs and arms. I have only been studying modern Wicca for a few months so my views may not be the same as most Wiccans, I still believe the way my Aunt taught me from the books she left to me.
This is Stonehenge in England, believed by some to have been built by Druids. For what they can only guess at as the druids and others of that time are not talking to anyone, about anything.
Who were they? well they were not Christians as this was built long before the birth of Christianity. My belief is that they were of the order of Druids, not practicing as the ones now do but in the old ways. Some scientists have claimed that the stone in the centre of the space, has what they claim is human blood and may have been used for sacrifice. I dont think this is so as it would go against all their beliefs of peace and reverence for all life. You only need a little common sence to follow this reasoning, if they revered and cared for all forms of life and nature why would they destroy it by taking a life?
I hope you can see the reasoning here in my pages, as I said I am going by the old ways not the New Age Pagans. There will be more pages coming soon, hopefully I can translate some of the olde English in my ancestors books and include them. Untill then I can give you a link for you to get more information about modern Paganism.
