July 12th 2003 "Rebirth From the Ashes"

[Some Rumours]
  1. The Body Guild actually runs the City of Diev.
  2. They learn of the Soondar people to the south in the Tikkan Waste.
  3. King Fredrick has launched an army south. There are many men massing on the border of the Elven Nation. There have been sightings of his ships off of the coast of the Sith Tor Nation.
  4. King Fredrick will shroud the world in darkness with his dark God Odin.
  5. Dwarves are meeting with another Kingdom from across the ocean that has never been met before. Some don't even believe there is another continent for anything to come from.
  6. King Fredrick is making unkillable warriors in the northern mountains.
  7. The Body Guild has a Soul that is running everything in the Southern Kingdom.
  8. Some of the smaller churches have said that they from time to time have not been able to cast spells and have felt "disconnected" from thier god(s).
  9. The Sith Tor have a Black Dragon on thier side to thwart the coming War of King Fredrick.
  10. A small Spice Village off of Stormshire was burned to the ground.
  11. A large light in the sky over the Island of the Gods has been seen from accross the sea, namely in Stormshire.
  12. King Fredrick has been poisoning the Elven Forest and the Elves.
  13. Some Southern Orcs are talking to the Council of Nine.

The Party met up at Jocomo's for some wine and food and discussion. Jocomo is a very charismatic man in his early 50's. He asked if the party would accept a job from the governing body, the Council of Nine. It seems that the Council wants to investigate a group of Free Elves that seem to be wearing white and carrying lanterns around on thier wrists, preaching about fire. That is normally alright, except these Free Elves aren't paying the normal "preaching fee." It also is a new thing for Free Elves to have some formalized religion, when they normally just worship nature loosely. The Council of Nine put out a general bid for adventurers to find out information, instead of just arresting them. It seems that most of the preaching is about rebirth through fire, and cleansing by fire.

Jocomo said that the information was worth 100gp total, but if the investigation proved more dangerous to the City of Diev that more money would be forth coming. Jocomo from the deal would have no Guild Fees for 2 months. The information that the party had to find out was, 1)Who or what do they worship?, 2)Where do they gather?, 3)Where do they come from?, 4)and What percentage of the Free Elves believe in this New Religion.

Jocomo said he would return in 3 days unless he was called. He lives in the second tier. Jocomo said that they were seen preaching in the Green District and the Violet District Preaching.

The Party decided to split up. Bill and Demmin went into the Green District, and Elizabeta and Gnarr also went into the Green District but were seperate from Bill and Demmin. Ezekiel went solo into the Violet District to talk to some of the priests of the Good Gods that he had some discussion with on previous walks through the city.

[Bill and Demmin]

Bill talked to some lady merchants who thought he was cute but didn't pay him much attention and didn't answer his questions. Demmin found what he thought was a man who looked like he would be scared to talk to one of his stature and tried to scare some information out of him. Bill introduced himself as Bill Heartbiter and asked his name. He said his name was Bob...Bob. He gave vauge information until Demmin gave him a silver. His answers got slightly less vauge. Bill handed over 10gp and the man's eyes lit up. He mentioned that he had seen them mostly focusing on elves but also talked to some humans. Bill tells Bob Bob that if he has any more information to get in touch with him at Jocomo's and there is a possibility for more gold. Right after this they see the Elves in White and Bill follows closely while Bill stays back at a distance. They followed the elves, one in White the other a Convert, through the Green District into the Yellow District and then into the Violet District towards a Elven Temple of one of the smaller Elven Gods, the God Hnmmaaaa. Except it looked like the Temple of Hnmmaaaa had been changed and lanterns and torches were everywhere, with two large torches next to the alter. Demmin waved for Bill to follow inside and he took an invisibility potion and went inside...

[Gnarr and Elizabeta]

Gnarr went looking for an oil merchant, concluding that people who have lanterns on all day and night need to buy oil. He waited around the oil merchants for awhile and not one White clad Free Elf showed up. So he went up to one of the merchants and began a discussion and asked some questions about them. The Oil Merchant wasn't very happy when Gnarr made him tell him everything he had and then only grabbed a small thing of oil. Gnarr learned nothing of the White Clad Elves. He then talked to a man who was very stupid who said He then went to meet up with Elizabeta.

Elizabeta went to some of the Fruit Merchants, namely Marion and Katherin and didn't find much information, but bought some nice bannanas and melons, Katherin has nice melons. Elizabeta then went to talk to a Spice Merchant and learned that a small spice village off of Stormshire was burned down to the ground. Because of this burning the spice prices are 2-3 times the normal price. She then went looking for Gnarr. Gnarr and Elizabeta got some nice Tea and ate some lunch back at Jocomos and waited for the rest of the party to show up. After waiting around for awhile they went to see if Ezekiel found anything in the Violet District.

[Ezekiel]

Ezekiel talked to some of the temple priests in some of the churches in the Violet District. After taking prayers he talked to each individually about what they knew of the Elves Clad in White with the lanterns on thier writsts. He learned that the religion seems to be very much like a Phoenix type of religion, of being reborn from the ashes. They seemed to be visiting a lot of elven churches. The priests said they probably worship Fire or a God of Fire. The priest said that they were talking to Lost Elves as well. Ezekiel started to look for elven churches after that. He found his way to the temple he had known as the Temple of hmmnaaaa but seen that it had gone under some changes. He also seen Bill enter in, and Demmin outside. Marcomir was also there, and Gnarr and Elizabeta, it seemed all of thier individual leads had lead them to this church.

[Marcomir]

Marcomir talked to the Sorceror's Guild and they turned down his membership because of the "path he was on." He randomly bumped into the party as they waited outside the elven church. He started to discuss what was going on, and what the party had learned.

[Bill]

Bill had entered into the church moving silently and invisable. At the front of the church he seen the elves go into a back room. Bill decided to douse the flame of the huge torch with some blood he had been saving to drink. The torch went out, and the Free Elf came out. The White Clad Elf held up his lantern and Bill hid behind the torch. The elf lowered his lantern mumbling something about "damn kids" and went to relight the torch. Bill snuck around the elf, for some reason he resisted the urge to kill him outright, and knocked down the other torch. The elf raised his lantern and dispelled Bill's invisibility. Bill tried to jump behind one of the pews, but he was seen. Outside Demmin heard the crash of the torch, and seen the bright light of the lantern illuminate the entire church. Demmin decided to go inside to see what was happening. Bill not knowing what to do, did what came naturally, and attacked. He raised his hand axes and charged, the shout of Demmin, "STOP BILL! GET OVER HERE!" made him stop and he started walking over to Demmin. The Elf shot Bill in the arse with his lantern leaving a mark, and told Bill that if he ever saw him again it would be much worse. Demmin drug Bill out of the temple by his short hairs on the back of his neck.

Ezekiel outside noticed that all of the magic that was used against Bill was Elemental Magic and not Divine. It seemed the learned something else about the Fire Elementalists. The party decided to go back to Jocomos and come back and investigate later. At a place to eat some of the gaurds kept noticing Bill, it seemed that someone had seen him there before the blaze, and they were looking for him to question him. Elizabeta cast Invisibility on Bill and he snuck back to Jocomos to wait for the rest of them. Bill sent a message to Jocomo to meet them at the Guild because the had a lot of information and the party would be back soon.

The party went to see the blaze at the church. They helped in the bucket brigaid. Three wizards of the wizard guild walked out of a portal. The fire was put out by 3 of the Wizards Guild that seemed to link thier powers to call a raging storm to rain down on the blaze. The Wizards looked at the remains of the church as the party was held back by the guards holding pikes. Ezekiel thought he saw what looked like a lantern at the center of the church where the fire was most intense. The guards cleared the area and they went back to talk to Jocomo.

Jocomo met the party back at the Guild and heard the information they had learned. Jocomo tells the party a little about the history of the elves and men in the world. He told them about a mission to the island of the gods that failed. Three galleys of men went there and none returned 300 years ago. No one but Free Elves were allowed there.

Jocomo tells them that there was a body left at the Burned Church and that the authorities were looking for a child that was seen. Bill looked down and Jocomo realized who they were looking for. He told bill it ussually takes about 300 gold to clear ones name in Diev. Gnarr also mentioned that although they may look like Free Elves, they might not be Free Elves. They might be something else pretending to be them. Jocomo agreed that is might be so. Ezekiel added, just because something is possible, doesn't mean it is. The party got thier 100gp and decided to get some sleep but have a watch set at the Burned Elf Church.

[Marcomir and Gnarr]

They took the first watch while everyone back at Jocomo's got some rest. As they got there they noticed someone leaving in a hurry away from the burned church. They got closer and noticed that it looked like someone had gathered the ashes of the burned elf. They attempted to follow the ash taker into the sewers but the maze under the city crushed Gnarr's and Marcomir's hope of ever finding them. Gnarr smashed through a huge Iron Door. They confronted some small sentries and a Body Guild symbol, and decided to turn back and meet up with the others at Jocomo's. They also worried about getting lost.

Joff told Marcomir and Gnarr that it is best that they returned, not many people go against the Body Guild and survive. The Party got some sleep and Jocomo met them early the next day. The Fire Elementalists were seen leaving the city to the north. Jocomo made another offer and the party excepted, they started to prepare to leave the city and head north. Bill worried about exiting the city with people looking for him.

Aug 9th 2003 "Stephanie Causes an Argument"

The party was left following behind Bill as he tracked the Elementalist Elves. They seen smoke coming from the north in the direction of the town that was burned. The environment was very densely wooded. They got to a hill with concentric circles burned into the ground. Ezekiel detected some Elemental Magic in the circle. Bill listened to Gnarr and searched out the surrounding area to make sure there wasn't anyone around it, and to make sure this wasn't some kind of fake. Ezekiel using some of his angelic magic seen a vision of Elves walking out of this fire with fresh new skin slightly pink. Bill returned and it seemed that this was not a fake.

They followed the tracks to a second circle, but this one was being used. It was night by this time. Joff, Bill, and Ranier decided to sneak up on the circle to see what was happening. Ranier stepped on a stick and made a loud sound, but the roaring flames of the fire masked it. The three split up, since Ranier wasn't the most quiet. They seen some fresh Elementalists walking out of the flame with fresh pink skin steaming from the heat of the fire. The Flame had facial features and a Roar that seemed to have words and patterns in it. Ranier made yet another noise and the ritual seemed to stop all of a sudden. Small balls of flame appeared out of the Elementalists hands and rolled around at thier feet.

Brakk, a mercenary dwarf that had just been hired by Jocomo, was standing with the rest of the party and decided to come forward when he heard Ranier's voice make a short scream/squeak. Brakk charged ahead into the circle swinging his weapon above his head. Joff snuck up and used his Sneak Attack on one of the many Elementalists. Gnarr glowed thanks to Ezekiel, and he casted protection from elements fire on himself. Brakk felled a foe and cleaved another. A Fire Elemental showed up. Gnarr with Fire Protection attacked the Fire Elemental and with the help of Marcomir and the others put it down. Most of the Elementalists escaped. Bill managed to wound one with his crossbow, and then hack at another. Joff tried to help Bill, when he got all defensive and told him that, "This one is MINE." After Bill killed the Elf he drug him back behind some trees and no one seen him for awhile until he came out from behind the tree. He took all of his stuff including the fire lantern and put it in his backpack. He instead had long blond elf hair instead of his normal black dredded hair. Needless to say the party was a little taken back with the change. Brakk had managed to subdual an elf into unconsciousness and had tied him up. Bill seeing a live elf snuck under Brakk's feet and cut a finger off of the elf. They woke the remaining elf up. Gnarr, Brakk, and Bill started to question the elf while the others got out of the circle. Ezekiel grabbed one of the the fallen elves lanterns and started to look at it.

The Elf told them that he has found eternal life, and that the Elementalists always come back from death. He says that he worships the Flame and that He is very powerful. He says that the Flame will conquer all of the gods in time. At this the party remembered one of the rumours that the lesser churches who worship the lesser gods have felt a period of time when there was no communion with thier god and a break in the power that normally was given to them from thier god. The Elf tells them that he died and came back from death and will do so again. He tries to convert them and tells them that the Flame will take non-elves shortly. He says they want to burn the world and rebirth it, to cleanse the world of curruption. "I can show you the Flame's power." He does not know the name of his god. The flame in the lantern started to grow stronger and then exploded. The party member fell back and the Elf was turned into ashes. The lantern was the only thing left. The bodies of all the fallen elves with the lantern still attached on thier arms burned up as well, and then the Lanterns dissappeared with them. The only lanterns left were the ones taken from the bodies. Bill still had one hid in his backpack, and Ezekiel had one in his hands.

On the way to the village Ezekiel said he wanted to break open the lantern but the others said to wait until he got back to the city and have the wizards Guild check it out. They headed off towards the burned Spice Town close to Stormshire. Bill noticed that on the way to the town that the trees looked weird and seemed dehydrated. Bill remembered the rumour about King Fredrick poisoning the trees. Gnarr talked to an animal and it said that there was no water anymore, the lakes and rivers were drying up, and it seemed to start when the fire circles of the Elementalists showed up. Bill is pretty sure the trees are dehydrated and not poisoned.

They ride for about 3 days to the Spice town that was burned down. During that time Bill's hair turned back to its nappy dredded brown. Ezekiel learns from a "friend" that the lantern was made by an elf glassmaker about 4 months ago. He also learns that it is called a Vessel. The Flame inside is called the Flame of Rebirth. Bill on the second day decided to see if he could use his scrying ability with the finger. The first day he seen flames, the second day he sees the elves standing in the field in which they just were, with pink skin. Elizabeta checks his vision with a clairvoyance spell and agrees that it is as Bill says. Bill looks like a zombie as he sees what the Elf sees. He notes that the elf still is missing a finger and seems pissed about it. Bill starts to joke and nick names him "9-finger." He also notices that the ones that had the lanterns taken away from them were still dead. So the Elementalists power of immortality had its limits. Bill holds onto the vision and loves it. He during the rest of the third day looked horrible and was really out of it. The elves remained going south.

They arrived at the village and it was burned. They investigated a celler that was still intact. Joff got excited about the possibility of a wine celler. Joff heard some noises and tells the party. Brakk ventured downstairs first and told the rest to stay upstairs. He found some ale and took a few mugs of it and told the rest to stay up there while he "searched" around. Brakk heard some whimpering noises and then the rest of the party came down. Ezekiel tells the party that Elves from the island torched the village only because it seemed to be in thier way.

Elizabeta went up close to the noises, and said, "Child come on out, we won't harm you." even though Brakk and Joff were saying things that made the child stay where it was. Eventually Elizabeta got the child to come out. She introduced herself as Stephanie with some coaxing. Stephanie tells them "They took my mommy." Stephanie is half-elven and likes Elizabeta and clings to her legs. They questioned her and find out they only took the pure elves. It seems they must have killed the others. Gnarr also calmed the child by mending her teddy bear. Elizabeta mended her clothes. Brakk liked the kid as well and thought on his own childhood. "I'm Brakk, but you can call me Brakk." Brakk gave her a handaxe that she held with awe, she also was holding a teddy bear in the other hand. Stephanie looked to be about 7.

Stephanie lead them to where her father was. Stephanie wants Gnarr to fix her father like he fixed the bear. He apologizes to her. She also wants them to find her mother. He was dead but seemed to be trying to get at something under some stones. Brakk not being very careful found a chest and opened it and set off a powerful trap that sent them all to the ground. After the blast. They found an elven Composite Longbow that looked to be of ancient origin, as something passed down through the generations. Bill looked closer at the Bow and noticed that the bow had elven hair on it for the string. He used his ability and lost his connection with 9-finger. He seen the mother in a place that was burning, she had a lantern on her wrist and seemed to be one of them. Elizabeta tells the child that they will find her mother for her. Bill says he knows where her mother is and points to the Island of the Gods.

They decide to go back to Jocomo's and tell him all they have found. Jocomo is quite taken with Stephanie and gives her a room. But decides that he can't raise a little girl and tells them to put her in an orphanage to take her with them. An argument ensues. Joff told Brakk that Dwarves aren't people, and Gnarr and Ezekiel got into a long argument talking about good and evil and the fact that she is just a child. The argument doesn't seem to be over or decided but for now Stephanie is staying with the party. When Gnarr asked Steph what she wanted to do, she cuts the head off of her Teddy Bear and says she can fight and wants to come. Gnarr then mends the bear and tells her it will be tough. This renewed the argument about Stephanie.

Jocomo gives them 1000 gold each and tells them that the Council of Nine approved of how efficient the party was at obtaining all of the information. They are also told that they will be given 10,000 gold each if they can eliminate this threat by going to the island of the Gods. They tell them that there might be some information from the Soodar Tribe in the Tikkan Waste. It seems that they settled an island close to the Island of the Gods and they have some information about the Elementalists. The meeting is set for about a week away, leaving the party some time to figure out what they want to do, and some time to travel south. Bill reminds them that the last time he seen 9-finger he was going south as well.

Oct 11th 2003 "The Soondar"

In the previous session the Diev Council of Nine had recruited the party to travel to the Island of the Gods and extirpate the cult of fire elementalists who had established their base there. To aid them in their quest, the Council had arranged for the party to travel to a small port town at the southern end of the Tikkan Waste and meet with a group of Soondar elders who could provide them with important information about the cult and its aims. To guide the characters through the wastes, Jocomo (the party�s employer) hired a Soondar guide named Vrex, a soft-spoken man with red hair and gold eyes - very unusual for one of his race - who wore long robes and carried glass weapons.

The party was eager to leave Diev, where there had been severe riots, fires, and rumors of mysterious deaths (caused by the Guardian of Silver Sector, who apparently had escaped its magical bindings) during their recent journey to the northwest. After acquiring tents, horses, healing potions, and other equipment for their trek through the Waste, the characters and their mysterious companion set out, arriving at the Soondar trading encampment at the northern end of the Tikkan Waste after a day�s journey. While Vrex, accompanied by Gnarr and Joff, went into a caravan tavern to talk with some of his people (who gratuitously insulted him throughout the conversation), the other players did some trading. Brakk purchased a stuffed horse for the half-elf child Stephanie, which Elizabeta determined (through an Identify spell) to be magical - it provided the bearer with Riding skill.

Hoping to provide the party with a quick lesson in relative cultural values, a Soondar merchant asked Demmin Nass, the mercenary, if he would be willing to trade his female mercenary companion Millie for a horse. When Demmin (reluctantly) refused, the merchant viciously insulted Vrex�s lineage until Demmin had to challenge him to a duel. The duel occurred on horseback, per Soondar custom. On the first pass, the merchant used his spear to strike and injure Demmin�s horse; on the second, Demmin struck the merchant a SEVERE blow with his sword, dispatching the stunned Soondar on the third pass. Demmin acquired the merchant�s possessions: his sister, his mother, and his prized horse. The Soondar at the encampment objected to Demmin�s taking a valuable blooded horse, however, and as Demmin had no use for two more women he left the engagement empty-handed.

The group rode south through the desert for 3-4 more days, passing several oases and Soondar encampments. The southern Soondar tribesmen were wary of Vrex, but not hostile toward him. On the end of the fourth day the party reached an oasis abutted by rock outcroppings and surrounded with the scattered remains of a caravan - shattered wagons, dead horses, and the like. Warily, the characters encamped, got water for themselves and their mounts, and posted guards on the rocks. Their vigilance was rewarded during that evening�s first watch, when a massive sandworm burrowed up from the desert sands and began nosing around; the worm, however, only ate the dead horses from the old caravan before leaving. Apparently, sandworms were the �catfish of the desert.� Brakk wanted to shoot a couple of crossbow quarrels into the worm, but Elizabeta, who owned the crossbow in question, declined.

During the third watch the party�s guard saw six Soondar riders approach the oasis and pause atop a ridge to the south of it, astride the party�s path. They remained there until dusk, when the characters packed up and prepared to resume their journey south. The leader of the riders ordered the party to stop and fight for the right of passage through his band�s territory. Gnarr, the half-orc cleric, accepted the leader�s challenge and fought him on foot with his totemic spear while the Soondar captain fought him from horseback. After a difficult fight Gnarr managed nearly to kill the Soondar leader with his spear, whereupon his opponent, to save his life, �accidentally� fell off his horse and lost the challenge. The characters proceeded south, unmolested.

Two days later the adventurers reached a small port town at the southern end of the Tikkan Waste, where they saw several deep-sea sailing ships with no oars anchored offshore. The ships bore the elemental symbols for air and water, and Vrex informed the party that there had once been seven Soondar tribes: four tribes of elementalists and three tribes of horsemen. The four had departed for parts unknown ages ago; the three horse tribes had fought until only one was left, and then had been pushed into the wastes by other human nations.

After resting, bathing, eating, and exploring the town a bit, the characters received an audience with some very important Soondar guests: robed travelers with golden eyes (like Vrex�s) and white, red, bluish, or brown hair. The leader of the travelers, who had white hair, informed them that their land was afflicted with a lethal problem. He said that long ago his ancestors had opened a series of gates to realms of magic and danger beyond the material world, and accidentally admitted a terribly dangerous and hostile deity of fire, whom they managed to imprison in a magical container. The container was subsequently captured by the Soondaris� enemies in a war, then recaptured, sold, buried, and, finally opened. (By Joff, as it turns out, though that�s another story.)

The fire deity was currently residing on the Island of the Gods and had no power to leave as yet, but was quickly devouring the other gods there and would destroy the world unless it were contained. The Soondar elementalists asked the party to retrieve the container and use it to recapture the flame deity on the Island of the Gods. Gnarr, who was familiar with the box (and with its opening), said it was probably buried outside the town of Devin in the Northern Kingdom, and the session ended with the party agreeing to travel north, through King Fredrick�s blockade, and dig up the container.

November 8th 2003 "Crazy Lady Revealed"

The party headed north to gain the box. There were alot of refugees from burnings probably from the elementalists. Bill told the party about his abduction. Gnarr set out to build housing for the refugees. There were no elves among the refugees. Bill gets to ride on Vryx's horse, Bill is trying to stay away from Demmin cause he threatened his life. Bill doesn't really mention it to anyone. They got to Doran and it had finished burning. Vryx cast a spell to determine the fire's origins. Bill feads and brushes Vryx's horse, but the horse is spooked by him. Others look around for anything unusual. Steph wanted to know where her mommy was. Vryx almost burned the town down again with his warlockish ways. Steph looked around for a playmate and Bill accepted. Bill taught her a quick way to gut a person. Marcomir's familiar Galen flew around to get an aerial view. Marcomir can't find anyone who can help him with his "personal problem" among the alchemists. Gnarr noticed similar burn marks as to the town of Diev. Demmin and Millie go to a bar. The townsfolk complain to the Guards that there should have been a wall. Galen seen the way the attack came and informed the party. They asked around and all they could get out of the people was, "fireballs" "white robes" and it took place in the middle of the night. Steph finds a three legged dog and names him "Good Dog." Gnarr fixes his leg as best as he can. Steph has an emotional moment concerning her parents. They had a long goose chase finding an old woman who couldn't give them any information. Back to Jirit where they find that King Fredrick's Boat is waiting for them.

On the boat the Captain tells it like it is on the high seas. People decided to take some armor off in case they fell in the water. A storm hit. A kraken attacks and the ship throws greek fire at it but it still comes on strong. Ezekial blessed everything. Vryx called some lightning. Steph and Bill tied each other together and then too the boat so they wouldn't get knocked off, or pulled off by a giant tentacle. Gnarr is almost thrown in the water, and almost loses his spear. Galen Marcomirs Familiar saved it from falling in the water. Random deck hands got killed. With Gnarr's mighty stroke the Kraken decided it had enough and sunk into the black abyss. I week of time went by as they traveled north to Devon. Massive burn marks around the town stones melted on the walls. A large Dragon lies dying in the center of town. The Hammermen are surrounding the Good Fallen Copper Dragon. The Dragons whole side is melted and its wing is entirely gone. Fonkin was kneeling by the Dragon looking into its eyes. Ezekial cries "Tears of the Angels" A guy in the back was blinded by the sudden light. Even Ezekials spell could not help the dragon, Fonkin said that it did give her a moment of peace though before she passed. (Bill started a riot) and the evil guy with the mark of evil on his forehead was lynched. Ezekials ring turns a little and more white is facing upwards. The dragon turns into the Crazy Lady of Devon right before thier eyes. Ezekial states "That must have been a F*cking Big Black Dragon!" Bill skins the Evil Guys face off, but cuts the evil symbol out of it. They had thoughts of putting it on Ezekial in his sleep but decide against it. Demmin for once seems to have something in common with Bill and a weird friendship springs up. Fonkin tells them that the dragons were fighting, orks attacked the hammermen. It appears that the Box that the party is looking for has been taken either by the dragon or the orcs. Fonkin gives some maps and some help and sends off the letter of Gnarr to King Fredrick. It appears that the Orcs and the Black Dragon were headed north towards Gnarrs Military School.

December 13th 2003 "Rocky Mountain Oysters & Demmin's Sword"

The party learned that the Black Dragon had the Box and it flew towards the Ice Kingdom of Jort. An attack on the Military School is lead by Sith Tor Elves with orcs aiding. Nwm, Ezekial, and Gnarr go ahead by flying and the rest of the party rides on horses. The flyers get their first. The battle is heavy and Gnarr passed out from wounds, the students swarmed out of the Military School and finished off what the 3 PC's couldn't. Most of the orcs get away but a few are captured to be interogated. Bill manages to kill a wounded orc on the ground and fills his stomach, his skin looked a little green for awhile. The party took some of the poison on the dead elves and kept it.

Gnarr starts interogating the orc and isn't getting anywhere until a hungry cannibal halfling decided to help. Bill asked impatiently if he could chew on the orcs toes and fingers, and was finally allowed to. The orc started talking a little bit more. Then Bill went beyond the call of duty and tore into the orcs abdomen section and started chewing on... some rocky mountain oysters...

(pause for intermission and some squinted faces...)

Needless to say the orc started to talk and all the information they could get out of him was out of him. There wasn't much left for Ezekial to heal, so Brakk kills him quickly. They get some snowgear and head off to the Jort Ice Castle. It took them 3 weeks to travel to the castle and when they got there they found an abandoned town at the base of a large Ice Castle with a large melted hole in the side of it. Marcomir's familiar Galen complained about the cold again. Village looked the way it did since it was abandoned, it had an eerie look to it, like it was frozen in time.

They entered the Mine Entrace to the Castle and Bill snuck up and seen two Sith Tor Guards watching a bridge with a bell on either side. Bill hid under Gnarr's cloak and Gnarr went up to the elves and pretended like he was from the orc party that was killed at the Military School. They don't buy it and Gnarr gave Bill the signal and he ran to the middle of the bridge, Gnarr tried to knock the elf off and failed, one of the bells was hit and a water elemental appeared in the water. Bill is quoted as saying "Oh Chit!" Bill thinks he could help and went to the other side of the bridge and rang the other bell, and another Elemental showed up. With Dramatic Cinematic Action the party destroys the Water Elementals. Bill is seperated from the rest of the party because the Elementals broke the bridge. More enemies were coming. Bill hid himself up on a small outcropping. Ice trolls and Orcs attacked. Demmin dropped his sword(which is bad) and a troll picked it up. He liked it. The sword was swung at Demmin and dropped it, Gnarr picked it up. Gnarr stuggled to fight against the evilness of the sword and Demmin won't explain. Millie attacked Gnarr and all Hell broke loose. Party Conflict and implosion. They knocked the sword out of Gnarr's hands and Brakk kicked it in the water. Demmin jumped in and Millie also, they almost died. Demmin threw Brakk's axe in the water. Vryx gave Brakk the Troll Axe. Demmin ran away and brakk followed for a small distance. Nwm the Druid turned into a seal and rescued Brakk's axe. Vryx set up a watch. Brakk swears to kill Demmin if he ever sees him again. Elizabeta comforts Steph. The party was shaken and realized they lost track of thier mission by fighting with each other.
