1/15/00 - Happy New Year everyone! Well we didn't die from Y2K... I guess that's good. And this is Clinton's last year... I guess that's good too. But why is it that when I go to a grocery store... a bottle of soda is 75�, a 2 liter is 99�... but a 1 liter is $1.25! I just don't get that.
But seriously the real motivation behind finally writing this page is simple... there have been alot of things happening in the M.U.G.E.N. community. Lot's 'o good characters and backgrouds (alot better than mine), some really good updates to the engine... ect... ect.. ect.. blah blah blah. Now I don't want to get off on a rant here but there have been some events recently that have really pissed me off. Mainly the departure of Visual Kreations, Yongming and Angel Myst from the public M.U.G.E.N. scene. No... it's not their fault at all. They withdrew for a reason... a reason that I hope will not plague me... they are the lamers. They are the truely selfish, inconsiderate, and ignorant people, who would consistanly hurt and badger an artist purely because he or she has nothing better to do than sit on their lethargic ass and complain. These people believe that they can criticize and judge someone, on the simple fact that they themselves are so fucking insecure in their own abilities, that the cannot take the time to write their own creations. And then they would plagerize and steal another person's hard work for a profit.
I for one am going to miss V.K., Yongming, and Angel Myst... they are the ones who set the standards, and their work has inspired me to work harder on my own creations. I hold nothing but respect in thier characters, backgroundds, and thier decision to leave, for if it was me... I would of done the same thing. I couldn't imagine how hard it was for them to leave this community. And this is a community, and just like a community we have our ying and our yang. But fortunatly there are more good than bad, I sometimes see the message boards and admire how many people come to tha aide of new people, and it makes me feel good. And just like a community we need to cut the cancer that infects us before it spreads any farther.
But that's just my opinion, I could be wrong... but not likely.
