Our home is located in the small town of Live Oak, North Florida. On this farm we raise our two children, enjoy riding our Quarter Horses, raising Percentage Boer Goats, and AKC Chocolate Labrador Retrievers for show and obedience. My husband also owns and works a Heavy Machine Shop. I grew up showing Quarter Horses, we owned a full boarding barn in South Florida for the first 10 years of our marriage and have always dabbled in commercial cattle. Making the move North when the country life style was no longer accepted in sunny south Florida. And searching for a simpler honest life for our kids. We started into goats a few years ago as a 4-H project, first 8 goats we purchased were grade does and a full Boer buck. Of course once the kid goats hit the ground we were hooked on the Boer breed and decided to improve our lines. The purchase of 20 head of percentage does from Bellemy Oaks Farms made this giant step easier on us. At this time our goal is to produce a good quality meat goat that can be sold privately, or marketed through auctions. But out of the same lines to grow future show goats for my children, 4-H, and FFA kids in surrounding counties. I love looking off the front porch and seeing the girls enjoying life. I breed for a correct look, good conformations, fast weigh gain and a good temperament is a must since my kids handle these goats on a daily basis. Thank you hope you enjoy your visit.
