| An absolute highlight, and a place I could never have imagined visiting. The landscape and scenery is astounding, the occupation by the Chinese is disgusting, and the Tibetan spirit is inspiring. Tibet has long separated itself from the rest of the world, and remained very much a closed country before the Chinese occupation. The devout Buddhist nation is not perfect, and western illusions of it being some kind of Shangri La of spiritualism is far fetched, yet basic human rights are being abused. Tibetans are being oppressed, and somehow remain positive, peaceful and quietly determined not to give in. Please take the time to read my experiences, and also to visit web sites which concern themselves with the freedom of Tibet.
