The Adventures of Captain Panic and Stealth Monkey
Episode 7 - The Back-Up Plan Should Never Be Ignored

Captain Panic and Stealth Monkey were on their way up to Lake Pissywater for a day at the beach. Stealth Monkey's intentions had actually been to go jet-skiing, a plan that he'd kept secret from the Captain until he'd started talking in his sleep during his usual car-ride nap.

"Eee!" he exclaimed gleefully between snores. The Captain couldn't believe his ears, but before he could react, a bee flew in through the open car window and forced him to pull over.

"Pull over," said the bee. Panic, of course, complied. All of this commotion had stirred Stealth Monkey, but quickly grasping the gravity of the situation, he pretended to continue sleeping. This somewhat backfired though. He started thinking about banana-cream pie and drifted back to sleep.

"Draw your last breath," said the bee to a cornered Captain Panic, "but first, you'll have to watch your monkey friend die."

"No!" cried the Captain so loudly that Stealth Monkey awoke again.

"Eee," whispered Stealth Monkey to the Captain when the bee wasn't looking. Captain Panic nodded subtly and slammed on the gas. As he pulled back on the highway and they started hitting highway speeds again, the evil bee was thrown against the back windshield.

"Eee!" screeched the monkey.

"Damn right," agreed the Captain, then turning to the bee asked, "how you liking it back there, huh? How do you like that?"

As the bee burst into tears, the Captain turned his eyes back to the road just in time to see that they were still driving fine.

Twenty minutes later they rolled into the parking lot at the beach. After all the commotion, however, neither Captain Panic, Stealth Monkey, Geoff (the bee), or Katie (a friend of Geoff's who they had run into while at a Burger Sting (a fast food restaurant for bees (specialising, of course, in pollen)) on the way to the beach) felt like doing any jet-skiing, swimming, oyster shucking, sand-eating, volleyball or any other beach related activity for that matter.

Fortunately, they had thought to bring their ping-pong paddles. Unfortunately, they had forgotten the ping-pong table. Fortunately, they had remembered to bring ping-pong balls. Unfortunately, they'd still forgotten the table. Fortunately, they'd brought the car. They got in and headed home.
