Finding an Improv troupe
is very difficult. Most don't last very long. The hard part is you have
to work with the other members for a very long time so you can get your
timing right. But you can only learn so much without an audience. The first
thing you need to do is get a good idea of how improv is done. Classes
are a good idea and many places offer them. You should familiarize yourself
with the most popular improv structures before you start to take classes.

To better get an understanding of how a show works you should go see a troupe perform. There are no weekly performing troupes in the Wilmington area currently so you will have to go out of town. Comedy Sportz in Philly is one place you can go.
