I. BACKGROUND/RATIONALE

The B.A. (Psychology) program was last revised in September 1988. Generally all courses adopted from UP Diliman followed the original classification, except for cases constrained by lack of faculty resources and or instructional materials. Psych 162, for example, is a core course in UP Diliman, but classified here as elective because of limitations.

The objectives of the BA (Psychology) program are as follows:

a. To strengthen competence of psychology majors in preparation for behavioral research, personnel work, and graduate studies in psychology.

b. To broaden awareness, understanding and appreciation of recent theoretical concepts regarding affective, biological, cognitive and social bases of behavior.
