Well thankyou for visiting this section! Here you will find all the information you might find interesting about FilmNet.
Established on October 22, 2000, FilmNet began as an idea. An idea that filmmakers should be able to access their best internet resources from one site. The idea that they need to spend less time looking for help, and more time behind the camera - or indeed infront of, to the side of.......... anyway the point is that FilmNet is a place for filmmakers to come and revel in their hobby, as filmmaking really is a rewarding and constructive pasttime.
I remember the days when I would spend the entire evening, weekend and every chance I could filming my latest project from behind my little $100 black and white. The editing was rough and consisted only of turning the camera on and off. The colour was.. well there was none. The sound was scratchy, the cast consisted only of my friends and I, often doubling up on roles in 'disguise', and the script was just a childish scrawl on a piece of spare paper. But that one piece of paper brought endless hours of fun, as we practised, filmed and laughed at the end product. This is where it all began. I even remember one project which involved weeks of preparing, practicing and prop gathering, and through the endless days of filming we were eager to see the finished product. We had one camera operator - Tiffany. I still remember the hearfelt disappointment when we put our pride and joy into the VCR only to discover that Tiffany had been filming the floor every day for the past two weeks.
Anyway, back to FilmNet, we have assembled the best resources available to help you get the most out of your filmmaking experiences. We highly recommend clicking our Movie School link as the help and information is endless. FilmNet is based in New Zealand, in the southern hemisphere. For those of you who are unaware of our geographical location - first of all, shame on you. Second of all, we are to the south - east of Australia. If you don't know where Australia is - we give up.
We are always interested in your feedback. If you have comments/questions/requests.. whatever. Even just to say hi, please feel free to just click here.
Oh, and yes. I am aware that the cartoon girl featured on every page is of course Sora, apparently a Digimon character. Unfortunately I was not informed of this until the pages were already made. But hey, she adds a bit of colour to the site. Just don't think Digimon, we do not endorse it nor watch it in anyway.
