Welcome to Hillcrest Public School's website.  This is an exciting new initiative for us and will provide staff and students with an additional mode of communication.  Bookmark our page and watch us grow!  We value your input and feedback with this venture!

Hillcrest Public School is a school that values tradition as a strong foundation upon which to implement change.  As we enter the year 2000, all of us, (staff, students, and parents), are learning to adapt to the demands placed on us as we work, learn and play in this era of ever-increasing technology and rapid change.  It is an exciting time and a challenging time.

At Hillcrest we believe in our students and we strive to provide them with a wide variety of opportunities in order to increase their potential in all areas.  We encourage students to take an active role in their own education.  We encourage students to seek out extra-curricular opportunities as well as leadership roles.  We encourage students to accept responsibility for their own learning and development.  Students need the guidance and support of both their teachers and their parents in order to ensure optimum progress in all areas.  Let's work together on behalf of the students at Hillcrest. 

Our school motto is a simple one.  It encompasses our beliefs:
At Hillcrest we C.A.R.E.  Care for And Respect Each other!

Our Students' Rights and Responsibilities are based on this motto.  (You can see them at hillcrest_ddarr.)  Each year we envolve our students in a review of this motto and the Rights and Responsibilities which were developed by our Hillcrest Student Council.

Hillcrest is a busy, productive school.  We are proud of Hillcrest's uniqueness.  It is the only school in Peel which currently runs 4 distinctive programs all under one roof:  K-6 English, Grade 7 & 8 English, Grade 7 & 8 Early French Immersion and Grade 7 & 8 Late French Immersion.
