Akira Toriyama Akira Toriyama was born in April, 1955. Akira Toriyama is the creator of Dragonball. When Akira was in high school he studied art. After high school he entered Shueisha the hugest publisher of manga in Japan. There, he began drawing manga. Shueisha is where he published his first piece as a certified professional. 1978 was when his first manga was published. Toriyama's creations were usually for kids. Dragonball Z is made for teenagers. Akira Toriyama even has his own studio called Bird studio. What inspired Akira to create dragonball was based on character he called Dragonboy. He has also helped with video games. Akira is one of the best cartoonists/manga professionals in Japan. He has created 2 of the 3 series of dragonball. DB and DBZ. He has also helped in creating Movie 8. In 1995, he came out strong with DBGT. |
