| Chapter News Archives 2000/2001 April On April 21, We visited Dorothy Labar and her friends at her senior living center in Wheaton and seranaded them with songs from many members. Sylvia Taylor made several costume changes and treated us to Flamenco dances. On April 29, we hosted Northwestern University student, Alex Peh, for the Mildred Crane memorial scholarship recital. March Songs fromt the mini-music mart. Mary Ann Sadilek culled through the American music treasures at last year's garage sale fundraiser and found several gems, performed for us by various chapter members. February Songs of love from the Rebel Girl Group and Sue Raye Hughes topped off a lovely February meeting. January A woodwine jamborie featured our members, Kim Voights, Jane Wood, and Elyse Klemchuk, and Kim Voights daugter in a fun round-up on woodwind music. December The chapter held two days of fund raising events by wrapping presents at the Barnes & Nobles in Oak Brook. November The chapter gathered at Luther Redeemer Church in Elmhurst to celebrate the tradition of religious and church music by many of our fine church musicians. October The chapter gathered to hear our two scholarship winners play at the home of Donna Budil. September We met at the home of president Heather Prince and heard about convention from Elyse Klemchuk, Mary Ann Sadilek and Donna Budil. |
