| ANCIENT FOREST - PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. August 5, 2007 |

| Eleven hikers came out on Sunday, August 5 to enjoy the huge cedar trees at the Ancient Forest. Although thunder rumbled all around us, we didn't get wet! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

|||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| The "Big Tree" for which the forest is famous is 43 ft in circumference (about 15 m in diameter) and is estimated to be at least 2000 years old. Just think, this trees was growing when Jesus was alive. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The hike is pretty easy and takes only 2 hours (with photo breaks). There's a bit of a climb up onto the bench, and then it's more or less even with a few small ups and downs. It's definitely a great family outing and the waterfall keeps the kids entertained! | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
