Dasopadesam - The Ten Commandments

As human beings, one of our duties is to avail ourselves of every opportunity to do good to others in our all physical, mental and spritual strengths. A sense of social service within our heart must remain.
We are all mortal, nothing belongs to us. If it does, then it does to the Nature and to the one who had created them. Whenever you entertain yourself with worldly things, remember to thank and offer the best to NARAYANA, the Supreme.
There is no life without Love. Cultivate Prema or love towards all human beings, bird and beast, irrespective to what we get in return. Human nature is to love and let it not change.
Those who know to give, need not to worry about their wealth. The family of philanthropists will always be blessed with happiness.
Why listen to praise of meritorious deeds done by you or other. We are chosen by NARAYANA for the those deeds, let him be praised.
What has happened, has happened. It better be our teacher instead crying over it unnecessarily. As very well said, if we learn to discriminate between good and evil, that will guard us from falling into the evil again.
Whatever days of our life are left, let us utilise them for a good cause. Get engaged in actions of the welfare of others rather than of ourselves.
Perform prescribed in our daily life and be devoted to NARAYANA, the God himself.
One attains one's goal of life and MOKSHA by performing one's duties and offer them to NARAYANA in all physical, mental and spritual forms.
Only Gyana (sometimes called Jnana) can solve our troubles and sufferings.

You may not find them exactly as they were said or told as they are mostly in my own words. I fully agree with most of them. Dasopadesam was described in Vedas and lately reiterated by Shankaracharya.
