Fruits Basket the anime was subbed and dubbed by Funimation. Ya' know, the ones who did Dragonball Z, YuYu Hakusho, Blue Gender,etc. Well, I think the dubbed version is pretty good. Subtitled is always the best... but Eric Vale is just the best v.a. for Yuki. <3_<3 Anyways, the dvds were going for 42.95 that's with tax... but after I bought all 4 dvd's ( 1.A great tranformation?,2.What becomes of snow?, 3.Puddles of memories, and 4.The clearing sky.), they lowered the prices to 29.98 a piece. <<; So I'm stupid. Yeah. Anyways! GO pick them up at Sam Goody, Suncoast or any of it's affiliates!

Now, with the manga, I've read and seen up to chapter 60 translated and tidbits of it... but I have a new love. TokyoPop is putting the manga out in volumes for $9.98! Yeah! You can follow Tohru Honda from the beginning, collect it and show it off, or just follow Tohru and the rest from where the series left off. The volumes are very well done. You can order them right from Toykopop too!

Now as far as manga online, if you'd just like to read the words... Shadow's site is well done.. He/she even translated the sound words! xD Or if you're the type of person who like to actually see what's going on... The furuba italian site has some very nice manga scans from the later volumes. I just bring up both Shadow's site and the Furuba.it site and read on one and look at the other. It's not hard to figure out. But, if you're not impatient like me...-_- get the Tokyopop novels.

Q-Why is Hatori a seahorse and not a dragon?
A- In Japan, seahorses are looked upon like sea dragons.

Q-Why are female voice actors used for some characters in Fruit Basket?
A- Female voice actors are used for characters that look very feminine. Yuki, Momiji, Ritsu...they have very delicate feminine features so female voices naturally fit.

Q- Dub or Sub?
A- Doi! Sub... but Dub is very good. A first for Funimation. If you like Dub.. go for it. But I'm all for the original Japanese with subtitles.
