Cyborgs-further enhanced humans True Cyborgs-intelligent brain in a cybernetic body Cybers See also Cyber Template Cybers are humans that have replaced some parts of their bodies with cybernetics on Mechanus. Personality: Cybers are generally like any other human, though they tend to feel a little superior to other humans and are most often more daring than the typical human. Physical Description: Cybers are humans that have replaced their off-hand side eye, arm, and leg and their left upper torso with cybernetics. Their augmentations and the genetic manipulation that allows them to fully accept the augmentations allow them to generally live twice as long as a normal human. Cybers often wear clothing that shows off their enhancements. The appearance of the cybernetics is up to the character. Relations: Cybers have the same relations with other races that humans do, except in the case of races that view technology with disdain. Some humans who oppose body augmentation originally used the term Cyber as a derogatory name, but it found such wide use that its negative conotation faded away. Alignment: Cybers have no tendancy towards any particular alignment. Cyber Lands: Cybers are basicly human and therefore share human lands. Religion: Cybers tend to be somewhat less pious than other humans, but they do not generally disregard religion and tend to at least pay some homage to one deity or another. Language: Cybers speak common like all humans and also tend to learn a wide variety of other languages. Names: Cybers have no specific naming traditions, though they tend to adopt names that are new or exotic. Adventurers: Cybers make great adventurers with their increased power over the standard human, and many do have a penchant for being adventuresome. Personality: Cyborgs are generally either military personell or those who wish to prolong their lives and drastically improve their capabilities without completely sacrificing their human body. They tend to have somewhat superior attitudes towards other humans, including cybers and true cyborgs. They are fairly more daring and outgoing than other humans because they have so much more going for them. Physical Description: Cyborgs are humans that have replaced their off-hand arm, hip and leg, thier primary forearm and hand, shin and foot, spine, and upper torso with cybernetics. They also have a cybernetic plate on the off-hand side of their face that runs down the neck to the shoulder this plate includes a cybernetic eye and ear. Their augmentations and the genetic manipulation that is required for them to fully integrate with the augmentations allow them to generally live three times as long as a normal human and some have reportedly been able to stop the final aging processes. Cyborgs can be left or right handed. Cyborgs are split fairly even between wanting to show off their enhancements and wanting to keep their advantages concealed. Cyborgs can have their cybernetics' appearance customized to their liking. Relations: Cyborgs have the same relations with others as humans so long as the race or individual is not disdainful of technology. Cybers and Cyborgs generally are not on good terms, though they are not hostile towards one another. Cybers see Cyborgs as giving up their humanity and Cyborgs see Cybers as being dabblers when they could be so much more. Alignment: Cyborgs do not tend towards any particular alignments. Cyborg Lands: Cyborgs occupy the same lands as humans. Religion: Cyborgs are usually sporatic worshipers and often reserve worship for deities of knowledge. Language: Cyborgs speak common and often learn a variety of other languages. Names: Cyborgs tend to take on new, invented, or exotic names. Adventurers: Cyborgs usually have themselves augmented for the sole purpose of adventuring and therefore almost all cyborgs take up the adventuring lifestyle. Most come about because they want to cheat death, but some are due to medical emergencies that had only tragic outcomes possible if the victim remained in their flesh body. Personality: True Cyborgs feel superior to all others of their race, feel equal, or are self-concious of their lack of a flesh body depending on how they came to be. All True Cyborgs are considerably more daring than others of their race due to their obvious lack of the vulnerabilities common to races with bodies of flesh and blood. That being said, many tend to have the desire to simply be part of society like they were before their change. Physical Description: True Cyborgs are members of intelligent races that have had their entire bodies replaced with cybernetics. They do not age due to special genetic regeneration processes used to keep the brain young. True Cyborgs cannot reproduce without the aid of artificial fertilization. True Cyborgs often forego clothing as is only hides what they have gone through so much trouble to become. True Cyborg bodies are custom affairs and therefore generally appear however the character wants unless the transfer was unwilling or some sort of emergency proceedure. Relations: True Cyborgs often have the same relations as their original race, though races that have no love of technology are often unfriendly or even hostile. Humans, Cybers, and Cyborgs generally reserve judgment unless they know why or how the True Cyborg came into being. Alignment: True Cyborgs tend towards the alignment of their original race. Android Lands: True Cyborgs share the same lands as their original race. Religion: True Cyborgs are by far the least religious of the cyberneticly enhanced races due to their immortality and the fact that those who undergo the change willingly often alienate themselves from many good and neutral deities. That being said, those who do worship often venerate deities of knowledge or the deities they did prior to the change if they will still accept them. Language: True Cyborgs speak common and tend to learn a wide variety of other languages. Names: True Cyborgs often use their old name or adopt new, invented, or exotic names. Adventurers: True Cyborgs make great adventurers and as many as there are that try to blend into society that many more take up adventuring, at least eventually. Blooded (EX): True Cyborgs are treated as members of their original race for the purpose of being affected by effects that specifically affect that race and for using magic items designed for that race. +2 racial bonus to Appraise, Balance, Decipher Script, Forgery, Jump, Listen, Search, Spot, Swim, and Tumble checks Favored Class: Any Automatic Languages: Common Bonus Languages: Any LA +4 height and weight as original race, but adjust for medium size starting ages as original race Aging Adult: as original race Middle: x Old: x Venerable: x Maximum: x image obtained from http://www.bit-tech.net/content_images/project_kos_mos/kos-mos400.jpg The image depicts a True Cyborg. |
