Chikaldara Hill Station


Chikhaldara is very famous hill station, on Melghat Mountain, one among the seven in the Satpura range. We briefly present few facts about this tourist spot.
Location Satpura hills
District Amravati (94 Kms)
Elevatio 3564 ft.
Places of Interest Bhimakund: A waterfall place where, Bhima, 2nd of the Pandavas is said to have Killed Kichak, the demon king during their exile period. The waterfall leaps into a 3500 ft deep valley. Devi Point: Temple of some local goddess in narrow cave. Source of Chandrabhaga river is nearby.
Nursery garden: Beautiful flowers in the garden along with a toy Train is a major attraction.
Panchbol Point: This is a famous Echo point. There are 4 mountains which ring the valley below and act as a source of Echo Phenomenon. Vairat Devi: a temple dedicated to goddess Vairat Devi. About 11 km from Chikhaldara.
Gavilgad: This fort belongs to Bahamani Era. It was Dominated by Gawli rurels of this area. Ruins of the fort along with few lakes and security systems of this time are still visible.
