Sinhgad is a beautiful fort near Pune. The great thing about this fort is it is easily acessible which makes it our favourite spot for treckkers. You can reach Sinhgad village easily by catching Pune Municipal transport (PMT) buses. The fare is about 15 Rs. only. From bus stop you can either climb and have lots of exercise or else you can follow road to top. It takes about one and half hour to climb or thirty min. if you go by vehicle.

The fort is spread over about 30 Acres of land and have monuments. Also water storage tanks. Things to see are Legendary Tanaji Malusare's Samadhi, wind point, Lokmanya Tilak's bunglow, Rajaram samadhi.

If you opt for climbing, which we strongly recommend, on the way you will find paddy fields, birds, shrubs, and Pangara trees. You can visit Sinhgad during any time in year but if you like to see greenery and water falls best months are Augest and September.
