The Power That Controls
The Orb
The Beginning:
Nothing but water for as far as the eyes can see. There is an eruption in the distance. There is a quake that causes the water to boil. The waters begin to wave. Then a splitting of the water as lava breaks the surface. The lava bursts into the air and starts flowing, forming the land on the water. The quakes continue to keep the ground shaking. Higher and higher the land forms. Lava forming the mountains and the valleys. Lava flowing to cover the slopes, mountain sides, and the valley below. Smoke and ash filling the air while covering the land. The quake and the eruptions last for years.
The clouds in the sky form and darken. They become fierce and forceful causing a trenchant downfall. The rains start and it falls and continues to drench the lands below. The rains cool the lands then vegatation starts to grow. All around the land lays a golden crystal. It casts a golden glimmer in the sunlight. As far as the eyes can see is the crystals. Stones as large as mountains and yet some as small as a speck on the ground.
The lands became plentiful in plantlife. As the times went by the animals began to appear. With both being in great abundance it wasn't long and man appeared. Amoung these are the family Llen. Upon arriving they feel a strange power that engulfs them. The father Sein_Bein_Llen using the crystal builds his home. In doing this he finds he has increased his magic abilities. The larger the stone the more his power increases. He has powers he never thought he could aquire. As the time grew on he grew in knowledge of the crystal. He found he could give the power to others of his choosing but only if they were to be family. The family Llen were all aquired to the taking of the orbs power. Over the years the family grows and the family all have the same ability to use the orb. The orbs power seems to increase with the family member with the inner power that is strongest. the wife of Sein Bein Llen, Lliea La llen being full blooded has burned the feelings from thier hands and deformed them. It has taken and with its heat blinded them.
The orb is the power that controls Sage_Llen. He grew up knowing that this was his source to his magical ability. The Orb is the added power to his strength. The power of the Orb lets Sage and his family do things that some see as far beyond that to which he can accomplish. Sage has the abitity to mind link to others and to teleport from his body to go to his home land of Grom. The orb has made it to where Sage is no longer Blind. the orb also has taken and changed his appearance to where he is not deformed as he is on Grom.
Sage has turned into a healer letting the power he carries heal those that cannot on ther own. His power is that to where he can over come the evil that takes hold of others. He can face death and walk away. The weakness to Sage is the power of the Orb. If he is away from the Orb for more than and hour he loses his sight and transforms back to his deformed self. He becomes helpless in a strange land if not at home in Grom. Too much power can take the life of Sage the power that controls can also kill.
The power of the orb is the power that controls. This power is such that if the one that is in control of the orb gives thier orb to save the life of another. Then does not regain the orb the one orb that is thier orb of life. Then they have given up and will not have the power of the orb and will pass on to the next world. The orb of Llen is the life sustainning force of the Llens with out it they die.
