| Redneck Jargon for Beginners |
| Redneck jargon mainly revolves around grunts and yells.We were able to obtain the following "words" or "phrases" from all the noise. "Dammit"- usually used when frustrated by someone/something/some animal. Any normal person would swear and curse, but the rednecks chooses a different tact. "What in the hell is that crazy critter?"- One of the basic redneck cries of surprise. The critter being refered to can be anything from a tractor to a small farm animal, both of which the redneck loves dearly. "Bitch" - Usually refering to the wife. "Woman"- Same as above. "YEEEAWWW"- A cry of surprise and delight, often used when the ute starts/horse is looking randy/sister is looking randy/wife has made tea and is cowering in the corner or any other time when the redneck is excited. "Hyuk"- A typical redneck laugh. Often used when the ute starts or when somenoe tells a joke about the FARM. "Haw, haw haw...."- When something funny occurs on the farm, like someone confusing the tractor with the harvester. "Darnflabbit"- When the ute doesn't start/rips his overalls while fencing/when he has to help a cow give birth in the rain. " Aw, sh#t yeah." - Used in times when the redneck is agreeing with someone. "Aw, sh#t no." -Used in times of disagreement, usually on topics regarding the FARM. "Dang"- Used in a similar context to "Dammit." "Howdy"- Hello. |
